Steelers have to pay him? Nice scoop.

A buddy of mine texted this and then immediately said he'd play well behind Johnson. Defended Dropsy like crazy when I said the Steelers can move or cut him at this point.

He's a solid #3 that is a good pickup if the draft pick we give up isn't too high

I feel like they have 3 #2 receivers after this.

Pretty sure he’s had injury issues, so hopefully that clears up and he can take on a complimentary role. But any reduction in targets for Johnson makes the offense better.

My hope is DJ is part of a package deal for a move at the draft. If not, cut him in camp. I have no desire for his whining, dropping, backward running behavior to continue another year.

I think he's just another 3/4 WR and they needed a vet presence. Hopefully Steelers didn't pay a ton of draft capital, and don't have to pay a ton in salary.

Yeah, if we could get a second for DJ and draft a WR there, after trading up for an LT, I'd be thrilled.

I enjoy having a GM do GM things.

He's done next to nothing for the last two years...hence why he was so cheap..and he's played 10/12 games in those two seasons. He had two dynamite years in Chicago and parlayed that into a big deal...then has done nothing since.

Obviously a cheap flyer type deal, but his best years are well behind him.

Yea, off the hook for his contract next year. Steelers can outright cut him I believe and it impacts nobody. It's a 1 year deal essentially.

There isn't a huge amount of upside to the Robinson signing, but the risk is mitigated. Three mehs.

Yep, he's played in terrible offenses. Hoping he gets rejuvenated here.

I like this a lot, assuming he's healthy. His last 2 years have been meh, but those were Fields rookie year and joining a Rams team where Staffords first 3 reads on every play were Kupp, then Higbee, then Kupp again.

Worst case, he's done physically. Best case he replaces the JuJu role but with more talent. No lose situation, really.
