Police say a man who set up a drunken-driving checkpoint complete with road flares while pretending to be a Pennsylvania state trooper was drunk.

Troopers say 19-year-old Logan Shaulis, of Somerset, parked his vehicle diagonally across state Route 601 and set up road flares at about 4 a.m. Saturday.

haha, i did get a few texts from friends who know I taught down that way asking if I had him as a student. I kind of wish I did. Kid sounds like a genius with no outlet to show it.

Friedens man charged with ethnic intimidation
Police said Custer threatened them stating that once he was free "one of the (expletive) pigs was going to die." He used an ethnic slur when addressing one of the police officers and said he was going to kill him and then spit in the officer's face, according to the affidavit.

A 37-year-old Somerset man was arrested late Sunday and arraigned early Monday on an accusation that during a fight with his neighbor he went inside his residence and exited carrying a sword, according to Somerset Borough police.

LOCATION: 1789 YOUNTS RD, BEDFORD TWP
PSP IS INVESTIGATING A ROBBERY IN WHICH AN UNKNOWN WHITE MALE ARRIVED AT THE ADDRESS LISTED ON 06/14/2015 AT APPROXIMATELY 1300 HRS IN A WHITE PICKUP TRUCK DESCRIBED AS A NEWER MODEL. THE VICTIM IS A 56 YEAR OLD FEMALE. THE MALE INFORMED THE VICTIM THAT HE WAS SELLING GIRL SCOUT COOKIES FOR HIS DAUGHTER AND ASKED IF SHE WAS INTERESTED IN BUYING ANY. THE VICTIM WOULD NOT PERMIT THE MALE THE ENTER THE RESIDENCE. THE MALE THEN REMOVED A PISTOL FROM HIS WAISTBAND AND FORCED HIS WAY INTO THE RESIDENCE AND POINTED THE GUN AT THE VICTIM AND DEMANDED HER PERCOCET PILLS. SHE INFORMED THE MALE THAT SHE DID NOT HAVE PERCOCET PILLS. THE VICTIM THEN GAVE THE MALE SOME OF HER PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION. THE MALE THEN FORCED THE VICTIM TO SIT IN A KITCHEN CHAIR. NEXT, THE MALE TIED THE VICTIM TO THE CHAIR USING PLASTIC ZIP TIES. THE MALE THEN LEFT THE RESIDENCE TRAVELING TOWARDS IMLERTOWN. THE VICTIM WAS UNABLE TO FREE HERSELF FROM THE CHAIR AND WAS NOT FREED UNTIL A FAMILY MEMBER ARRIVED ON 06/16/2015 AT APPROXIMATELY 1115 HRS. IT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY DISCOVERED THAT THE MALE ALSO CUT THE VICTIM’S PHONE LINE PREVENTING HER FROM CALLING ANYONE. THE VICTIM SUFFERED EXTENSIVE INJURIES TO HER ARMS.
THE VICTIM DESCRIBED THE MALE AS A WHITE MALE, SOME FACIAL HAIR, APPROX, 5’4″ – 5’7″ TALL, DARK COLOR JEANS, DARK COLORED SHIRT, NO GLASSES, NO HAT, DARK COLORED HAIR, SKINNY BUILD.
THE VICTIM DESCRIBED THE TRUCK AS A NEWER MODEL WHITE PICKUP TRUCK.

DELAINE RECEIVED BROKEN FINGERS AND AN INJURY CLOSE TO HER EYE SOCKET AS A RESULT OF THE ATTACK.
