Fun is the actual word I used to describe the first half to me today. Less so the second.

I was watching the end of the Jets game. A receiver dropped a game winning TD and then White threw an INT on a desperation throw the next drive to end the game.

Maybe mikey is onto something. ;)

In that case, he probably has a better grade than the box score watchers would have thought

I dislike this. Dude was having a major tantrum all game.

Dude had 1 catch for 2 yards and was visibly frustrated on the sideline. That interviewer just wanted to goad him into saying some dumb ****. I’m cool with him turning it down.

Solid game, no picks, but a couple of dumbass receivers turned TDs into FGs. Diontae Johnson is a clown.

I more or less disliked that he was having a tantrum all game. As a WR - he probably thinks he's open all the time, and I get that it was technically a second homecoming for him, given the location, but as a rookie - he should probably take heat for the way he acted.

Also DJ can leave the Steelers anytime he wants. Dude talks constantly, and shows how ineffective he is being a small guy who has hands that drop a ton.

DJ straight up falling over while in his stance, causing a false start, was a nice touch. Dude finds new ways to **** up every single week, it's pretty amazing.

DJ should also be an amazing slot receiver but he’s too scared to face contact considering his constant alligator arms and running backwards when anyone might tackle him

Pickens is pretty much open all game... he can grab contested balls better than most. Sadly contested balls aren't in the game manager QB Gameplan

I don't remember who said kickers don't matter but this scrub they got to fill in for Boswell put up 12 in a 19 point game that they won by 3. And they were long ones.
I don't remember who made that assertion either, but it struck me as very odd.

Over the last maybe 5 years Boz had steadily kicked himself into the top echelon of kickers in the League imo. Not the biggest leg, not the most accurate, but a really good combination of both. In the same way that there's a generation of Steelers fans out there that don't know the tragic hilarity of mediocre QB play week in and out over multiple seasons, we've been lucky as fans that the Steelers have had a reliably solid kicking game for........... geez, I can't even remember when they last had a schlub.
Could be referring to my point that having a good kicker on a bad team doesn't make all that much of a difference. So out of context points being made ITT.

It started as a counterpoint to this team being hateable. Outside DJ being a scrub, this team is not hateable. I also wouldn't say they are likeable in the sense they are playing above their paygrade, but I'm not pissed that they should have 2 more wins if it weren't for Mitch Trubisky. They just aren't a good team right now, so I saw no point in getting all bent that their (great) kicker was out for the season.

Someone needs to tell Pickens that then - because that's all this offense is expecting of Kenny ATM, imo.

i have been pretty down on Kenny's arm strength but he had a few throws where he had nice velocity and got the ball where it needed to be quickly. impressive pocket presence too

he's fine, I think he's clearly not a bust. next step is determining if he can be a franchise guy or if he's just a plug for a few years til they find a franchise guy. it's been nice seeing a rookie improve weekly

Fair assessment. Seems like this season has established that he can at least not lose you games.
