White Tigers at Steelers- Week 11 GDT

One other thing that gets overlooked... We are not good.

A lot of the steelers conversation is built around the expectation to win. But our team is simply worse than other teams. Most other teams in fact. So we shouldn't expect that.

There are a handful of good players. That's about it.
That bills game was a wake up call. The talent disparities between the two teams was depressing. Stillers are at least 2 or 3 consecutive good drafts from being a worthwhile contender.
What were forgetting is that highly paid does not equal good. We happened to have a bunch of roster spots and a bunch of cap space so we signed people to fill those spots but there's not exactly a bunch of young talent on rookie deals contributing.

I might say 2 or 3 good drafts from even being even a playoff team, at least in this AFC.

After Cole went out the offensive line play wasn't good and that was the biggest reason for the offense not playing well. Not to absolve Canada or Pickett, but that sequence of 3 plays in that gif failed more so because of bad blocking.

I think the flea flicker call in a hurry up situation was a nice idea. Didn't work out, but I could follow the thinking. Running on 2nd and 10 is questionable, but I'd bet the thought was don't put rook in a 3rd & 10 situation after an incomplete pass. Wound up that way anyhow.

All in all, the only skill position that's safe on the depth chart is Pickens, everybody else is expendable so far.
With the exception that it's still going to be 3rd and longish - when they found out the line forgot how to play in the second half. Kenny had no time to adjust, or even prepare as he had a guy on him, within a second or two.

Running on 2nd and 10 is fine. Doing it nine times and expecting different, is not fine lol.

even better is running a draw when the RB doesn't know he's getting the ball

Anything longer than 3 and 5 is pretty much a punt series that way it's been.

They throw short of the sticks so god-damn often that it's really just eye-rolling when they have a situation where they have to actually get positive yards.

On this note. This play got one yard. This is bad football
