Apparently AT&T sports net shorted the pirates on their broadcasting right charge

That was an interesting thing to read today. Also interesting to see that the Pirates make more money on their deal per capita than the Astros. Doesn't really mean much since the Houston area is probably 4x the Pittsburgh area, but thought that was an interesting nugget.

Fun Fact. Only 20% of people who go into cardiac arrest outside of hospital survive.

First spring training game tomorrow.
Think I saw something where the projected OF is McCutchen, Reynolds, and Suwinski. So guessing, as of now, the lineup looks something like:
Cruz
Reynolds
Hayes / McCutchen
Santana
Choi
McCutchen / Hayes
Suwinski
Castro
Hedges
Or:
Cruz
Reynolds
Hayes / McCutchen
Santana
Choi
McCutchen / Hayes
Suwinski
Hedges
Bae
Granted, lot's of "ifs" in there. But I think it's extremely interesting.

I saw yesterday it would be Reynolds in left, Suwinski in center, and Cutch in right.

I was in a local lab of a guy who recently passed away. Essentially his estate is trying to sell stuff and wanted some opinions on how much stuff was worth.
Anyways, got near the dudes desk and there’s a big Altoona curve poster on the wall. 2007’s season schedule. It featured two players. Any guesses as to who? (Bonus points if you don’t google the roster)
One should be pretty obvious, the other maybe not.

Yup. Walker. Was kind of cool to see the two of them in curve uniforms again.

I was gonna guess Neil but your comment about not being as obvious made me think of obscure names lol

Our buccos play today. Perhaps the beginning of the last stretch of baseball we'll see on an RSN

I can see that. Cutch is an all timer so that’s why I figured it was super obvious. Certainly didn’t mean the other was obscure, just not an all time great.I was gonna guess Neil but your comment about not being as obvious made me think of obscure names lol

I feel like walker’s shine sort of faded in the minors. Maybe just because they had to move him off of catcher. I also know that him and mccutchen basically graduated at the same time, so they probably played the same levels together before they got to Pittsburgh
Pirates Offseason Thread 2022-23
Walker definitely was tracking towards bust iirc and sort of turned it all around at the MLB level. Which is like opposite of any normal pirates prospects

So what happens here? I saw something about them just giving the rights back to the team? I would pay 10/month for direct streaming, baseball would be the best sport for direct to consumer. Our buccos play today. Perhaps the beginning of the last stretch of baseball we'll see on an RSN

I think I commented in PR since it affects the Pens too, but I believe one of the commissioners (Manfred I think) basically said the league will produce broadcasts and make available on their package without blackout restrictions. I feel like this is the future for sports streaming. Let me buy all of X team's gamesSo what happens here? I saw something about them just giving the rights back to the team?
