It's like having 2 starting quarterbacks. You really have none.

As of now, Endy is the only other catcher on the 40-man. I don't think there's any way he's in AAA more than a month to ensure another 6 years of control

“Gambling”

That is good news though. Probably a 100% chance he knocks swaggerty or vilade off the 40-man

I'm glad he stuck. Low risk, potential upside.

So weird that the regular Pirates twitter doesn't mention his signing, but "Young Bucs" does.

There was the Daydro nickname because he had his best games during the day, but not sure if that was Rocco's nickname or not.

End of the local broadcasting boon is upon us.

Luckily I believe the Pirates' deal with AT&T is not directly impacted by this, but the funny money days that other teams (Pirates never got that bag) experienced is over.

Keith Law's prospect list out today.

3 highly rated guys - Termarr, Davis and Endy.
1 mid - Priester
1 bottom 100 guy - Chandler

He describes really high floors for Endy and Priester, which is good news I think, I think both settle into MLB roles this season.
Not really sure what to make of Davis, and nice to see Chandler getting the nod. He is a guy that could just be a top prospect in baseball in a flash.

Will be curious to see where Gonzalez and Pegeuro trend this year, being left off of these lists is not a death knell, they will have to earn it going forward, which isn't a bad thing.

Travis Sawchik had an article/Tweetstorm about how regional sports networks are in decline because there are far fewer cable subscribers out there. Comcast announced they'd lost 11% of their cable TV subscribers in 2022 (!!!) Pretty good read: https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2556602

I was chatting about local sports nets with a friend today. The NHL/Pens would still rather try to get me to buy a cable package than take $10/month from me directly. The differences in the margin there are insane. And as it is they get $0 from me because I'm streaming the games instead of paying for a package that I'd happily pay for to support that broadcast.

The cheapest way I know of getting the Pens local sports net (I don't even know what it is, ATTSN maybe?) is $60 to Fubu on top of what I already pay for YoutubeTV.

Also not surprising to see that there’s a leveraged buyout associated with this pending business failure.
