It's scummy though, he talks about "transparency and media being bad" but then just bends over for Erdogan.

As is required, the AOC parody account literally has "parody" in the name, which means it fully complies with Twitter's terms of service. Plus, the account clearly isn't AOC because it demonstrates a sense of humor.

Threatening to leave Twitter is annoying. Just leave.

It's amazing what he's done to tank the value of the company.

He needs a minder.

Nah, let him completely sink that ship. It won't be missed, and it'll prove even further how much of a fraud he is.

Until a competitor actually enters the market and allows a major user-base on it, Twitter isn't going anywhere, imo. A ton of people still use it.

Twitter's head of brand safety and ad quality to leave
Twitter's head of brand safety and ad quality, A.J. Brown, has decided to leave the company, according to a source familiar with the matter on Friday, the second safety leader to depart in a matter of days.

The latest departure adds to a growing challenge for new Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino, even before she steps into the role.

On Thursday, Ella Irwin told Reuters that she resigned from her role as vice president of product for trust and safety at the social media company, where she oversaw content moderation efforts and often responded to users with questions about suspended accounts.

Brown worked on efforts to prevent ads from appearing next to unsuitable content.
-----
Since Tesla CEO Elon Musk acquired Twitter in October, the platform has struggled to retain advertisers, who were wary about the placement of their ads after the company laid off thousands of employees.

Good. She should have been fired. She most likely resigned over this:

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/lifestyle/oth ... r-AA1c3hd6
It’s not often the home entertainment release plans of documentaries generate much attention, but the one for The Daily Wire’s controversial film What Is A Woman? was the source of much conversation this week after the specifics of a deal with Twitter went public. The two sides allegedly agreed to a plan to make the film available for a twenty-four hour period on the social media site, but a battle over the content of the film resulted in it being labeled as hateful conduct. The war of words that followed eventually led all the way up to owner Elon Musk, as well as numerous executives from The Daily Wire.

The back-and-forth started yesterday morning when The Daily Wire Co-CEO Jeremy Boreing dropped a sixteen tweet thread saying Twitter agreed to platform What Is A Woman? for twenty-four hours on the first anniversary of its initial release. The conservative brand wanted to “expand” the viewerbase and generate conversation. Twitter allegedly agreed to the paid package and said it would host the movie and promote it to every user for the first ten hours, but after seeing the film, the social media service canceled the planned rollout over content concerns, specifically that the movie misgenders participants. It said it would label the documentary as “hateful conduct” and limit its reach if The Daily Wire posted it organically.

The Daily Wire did post the film organically, along with the sixteen tweet thread and numerous other comments from star Matt Walsh, talking head Ben Shapiro and more. Twitter quickly responded by putting the hateful label on it and adding a note that it was “limiting visibility.” Twitter’s owner Elon Musk, however, then jumped into the conversation and said limiting the movie’s reach was a “mistake” and it should be allowed on the platform without restrictions.

Hours later, however, the warnings were still on the movie, which led to another round of angry comments from those involved with The Daily Wire. Musk responded that the issue was being fixed. Then news broke that Twitter’s Head Of Trust And Safety Ella Irwin resigned. It’s unclear if her departure was directly related to this specific issue, and many online have been arguing about it. Eventually, the restrictions on the video were mostly taken off, and this morning, Musk quote tweeted the movie itself from his own profile.

Someone at Twitter really wanted to censor that movie. The boss isn't into that and personally intervened to cut that s**t out. And now we learn the the person who was basically Twitter's head censor "resigned" yesterday. I think we can assume that we just found the censorious asshat who really didn't want the movie on Twitter. Good riddance.

Clearly, Elon still has more people to fire, because it seems like there are still employees there who haven't got the memo that Twitter has new management.

Nice attempt at a hit piece, but I note the article doesn't mention that the pad has already been redesigned to fix that issue, and installation of the new systems have been underway for weeks:

Well yea, they're doing that after they destroyed a town. They care enough to fix it now that it has bad press.

The town wasn't destroyed. It got sandy. None of the larger pieces of concrete got anywhere near Port Isabel, which is something like five miles away from the launch site. Neither did any of the pieces of the vehicle itself get anywhere near the town. The self-destruct occurred well over the ocean. A little bit of sand that will be gone in the next rainfall is hardly "destroying" a town.
