This might be the same article you're talking about, but I saw one guy saying how his agency (managing an 8-figure annual ad spend on the platform) saw something like 50 different points of contact, and they were (as of last week) completely in the dark as to who is managing their spends. So like mid-email thread Twitter would change (or just fire) who was presently working on account management, and replace them with someone the ad buyer had never heard of, only for the replacement to be replaced by the end of the afternoon, sometimes a couple times a day. Times dozens of accounts. So while there are undoubtedly numerous companies that have voluntarily paused their Twitter spending, there are also many others who have had their activity paused for them simply because there was no on left at Market St to pick up the phone. There's a funny blurb from the FT article on twitter being shared explaining the situation from the advertisers perspective. Essentially the ad department has been gutted, so companies are in the dark on the campaign performances cause all the dashboards have glitches, and they have no points of contact at the company cause they've all been canned.
And while this is all happening, it's basically just Elon calling ceo's directly to yell at them, and apparently, also tweet about how they hate free speech.

The most egregious thing Elon has done the past few weeks is drink caffeine free diet coke.
Seriously, what is the utility of that beverage? It doesn't provide you an energy boost nor does it have a remotely acceptable flavor

The most offensive part is that he doesn't use coasters. Does he respect wood?

Oh, of that he has self-awareness.

Kind of funny that Musk’s free speech stuff went out the window shortly after meeting with Apple about keeping Twitter on the App Store and the threat from

This whole Hunter Biden Twitter coverup is amazing. This guy Matt Tiabbi rambling on about how twitter workers were democrats. I’m pretty certain he and musk are in a room doing shrooms right now

my cousin, who I never would’ve expected to post something like this, just posted this
lol whatAnyone else Reading Elon Musks Twitter Files the past four hours exposing all the corruption …. It’s crazy….
The “Twitter Files” tell an incredible story from inside one of the world’s largest and most influential social media platforms. It is a Frankensteinian tale of a human-built mechanism grown out the control of its designer. Slowly, over time, Twitter staff and executives began to find more and more uses for these tools. Outsiders began petitioning the company to manipulate speech as well: first a little, then more often, then constantly.
It’s crazy….
