Number of birdies made in previous 11 rounds this year - 3
Number of birdies made Saturday in Alaska - 2

Golf is such a dumb game.
Where you golfing at?!
Played Moose Run, which is next to JBER in Anchorage. Doing something with their head pro and some members on Tuesday so thought I’d check out the course. They’ve got 36 holes so may try to get the other course tomorrow or Wednesday.

It’s really great that trump and the saudis big play against the pga is to buy as many of the best players they can to go play in dumb events in front of drunk maga twits

I’m curious what their expectation from Tiger would end up being. He’s barely able to play Augusta and St. Andrews. There’s no chance he risks his leg on some dumb course. And he’s not gonna do a media tour like Greg Norman

just silly all around

Legitimacy.

Always interesting how you seem to just be completely oblivious to the obvious

it’s not “obvious” to me because it’s so stupid. everything with LIV is stupid

they should already be perceived as “legitimate” by having the major winners that they do; but obviously they aren’t because LIV is a sham. Paying Tiger almost a billion for nothing is hilariously dumb

Tiger going there would have been the end of the PGA Tour

Pat Perez keeps cashing big pay checks while being carried by the other three guys on his team. I think he finished like 12 shots behind them at Bedminster.

Would probably be more popular if they just renamed it the MAGA Tour.

I guess Norman just went on tucker to say liv is going to lean in to the culture wars. Be the politically incorrect professional golf league (lol). Clearly the Saudi wealth league is not the branding they want, so want the images of drunk rich kids chanting at trump to be the vibe.

Because, what the world has wanted for a long time, is a conservative golf brand.

That will resonate with the large numbers of golfers in Trump's core base of rural Americans with no college education

Yeah, it's multifaceted stupid.

There's obviously an extremely low ceiling for the number of avid golf fans that want their golf league to also be a cultural signifier for MAGA. There are obviously cultural signifiers associated with golf, but the number of people that want that to be Trump and not stuffy country club vibes is small.

I don't think attendance at PGA events has any bearing on anything, it's all corporate sponsorships and network deals. How many corporations are going to jump ship from the PGA to the Saudi/MAGA league? And as for the broadcasting competition, there are what, like 8 exhibitions a year or something?

This is mostly just comical, this is basically just like Mr Burns getting all those MLB all stars to play on his softball team

It's becoming more and more apparent that LIV/Norman are appealing to the MAGA crowd. I was watching video from one of the tees and there were forty people right behind the golfers yelling "Let's Go Brandon". Am I allowed to say that triggers me? It's just so mind-numbingly stupid.

I guess I'm fortunate to find watered-down exhibition golf completely uninteresting. Now that major season is over my desire to watch any golf is pretty low. They really shouldn't have moved the Last Chance for Glory.

The FedEx Cup format is repulsive so I'm not into that either.

I liked the video of Don Jr doing a high five line.

And obviously Norman is leaning into this because the publicity the Trump event created, but, like most unimportant things, it was just people posting about it on twitter, and beyond a day of viral pics of Tucker, Trump and MTG, this was nothing. No one knows/cares who "won". The best thing I think liv could do is probably just pay Barstool a ton of money to influence their audience of meager intellects to embrace that league. ESPN is never going to take it seriously, so again, unless the plan is to just pay as many of the known players as much money as possible to play exhibitions, this is not actually a challenge to anything that means anything to the PGA. Trump is only going to get involved when the events are at his facilities and he can make money from the event, otherwise, he won't care beyond nasty "truths" about the PGA pulling the major from Bedminister.

I've played so bad this year. 77 Monday and 77 today and I'm feeling good again. Finally hitting some fairways and not scrambling every hole. Feels good
