This Tiger documentary on the Golf Channel is pretty awesome. So much focus has been on the scandal and comeback and injuries that I kinda forgot how freaking great he was right off the bat. Just nuts

He won five tournaments in a row. I didn't remember that. Jesus

the improvement of headcovers for drivers should not go unnoticed. i used to always rip through the seams on those stupid sock headcovers. the new fake leather ones are so much nicer. i bought an m6 one from golf galaxy for 5 bucks. everyone thinks i have a new driver now which is a plus too. covers up my 6 year old driver very well

Nice. I'm glad Sergio is giving people motivation to hate him instead of pretending like he wasn't still a Canaan after his Masters win.

His brother is his caddy and I’m sure we have all thrown a lot worse at our siblings.

DeChambeau's slow play has been downright awful this week. Dude is a first class schmuck.

He took 2+ minutes to line up a putt and still **** missed it.

What a Canaan.

Going back to the Dechambeau nonsense, I saw that Luke Donald decided to chime in as well
And after all that misread it by 2 cups 🤦🏼‍♂️
So did 2002 PGA Champ Rich Beem:
THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!!!!
@PGATOUR
if you don’t do something about this, SHAME ON YOU!!! As a member, I’m OUTRAGED you can tolerate this. You talk about “protecting the field”, then protect it by penalizing/DQing this type of behavior!! ENOUGH!!!

speaking of slow play, i recently played in an outing that took over 7 hours to play. had to leave early.
was in cleveland this weekend and played little mountain. 6 hour round. 2.5 hours for first six hole

Brutal. Played Safari in Columbus last summer and it was over 3 hours for the first nine so we just bounced after 13 or 14.. ridiculous. Told the ranger when he stopped by and he just kinda meh shrugged. Maybe don't book tee times 5 mins apart on prime time weekends

Played in an outing last weekend where they closed the course down for the day. I assume it was because they had two full outings (36 groups in the morning, another 36 in the afternoon) that day, but it was awesome. Every other outing I've played in they just let the jamokes playing their weekend round on the course about five minutes after the shotgun start. Quicksilver is a long enough round without there being three groups on every tee box.

I once walked 9 holes in 1 hour and 15 minutes while shooting a mediocre 44 or something like that and it was glorious.

Moon is kinda hit and miss. There are times we've played at 90 minutes on a nine hole, then there are days we've hit almost 2:45 and are just beating sunset.

I played a course in NoVa this Saturday and had almost no backup at all. Had to briefly wait approaching 8, then took some extra putts since there was no one riding up on me. The group in front must have only played 9 or jumped off since it was smooth sailing after that.

42 on the front, but absolutely tanked it on the back with a 54. Not gonna have a good score when you put up two snowmen on the back 9. Shoulder started getting sore around 15, where I went +8 over the last four holes (8/4/6/6). That 42+54 is the story of my overall game though: decent one week, garbage the next.

my FIL regularly plays a course that's only 14 holes. I guess it used to be 9 and then they decided to expand thinking they would eventually buy the land for the final 4 holes but it never happened. the more I play the more I think I'd love a course like that. my game starts to go to hell due to fatigue around 15 or 16.

Alright, golf nuts, are you ready for the change at the Tour Championship this week? In case you didn't hear, the PGA Tour, in an effort to simplify this whole points business at the Tour Championship, decided to take the top 30 in points after yesterday's BMW and apply a starting score to them on Thursday. And here it is:

#1 -10
#2 -8
#3 -7
#4 -6
#5 -5
6-10 -4
11-15 -3
16-20 -2
21-25 -1
26-30 Even

That's where you start. You wanna win the FedExCup, get to the top of the mountain. So yes, there's the strong possibility that over 72 holes, #2 could beat #1 by a shot and yet, #1 will win the Cup. One trophy, one purse (and thankfully, they dropped the goofy putter trophy that they gave away for the TC the last couple of years). The Tour thinks this will make it easy for everyone to figure out who's gonna win the Cup rather than trying to crunch numbers over every putt. The players don't know how to react to the situation and most say they'll just have to go through it and figure out if they like it.

Do not like. This seems wayyyyy too much to me like what NASCAR did.
