Talor Gooch said that Rory winning the Masters would have an asterisk because he and the other LIV guys wouldn't be playing. The memes since then have been mostly top shelf

Who has two thumbs and bought a 17 degree hybrid in the middle of February probably because they are desperate to do anything remotely related to golf? This guy.
who has two thumbs and bought a 19* hybrid in the middle of february probably because they are desperate to do anything remotely related to golf? this guy.

For the record I went to the range last week and played 9 holes with the new 17*. Results ok so far. Do I like it more than the 4 wood? Eeeeeh

My favorite was that somebody edited his wiki with asterisks next to his wins denoting Rory wasn't in the field.

Da bros and I are booked for an 11:00 round at hickory heights. That course blows but bad golf is better than no golf

Played there that other freakishly nice weekend this month.

One thing that was good was the acknowledgement that their tee boxes on the front nine par 3's are abominations. So the tee's are way up on actual grass.

I love Hickory for the money and the condition they keep it (sans the front 9 par 3 teeboxes). You can't get much better value for your dollar around here.

I kind of hate all the par 3’s on that course.

I’m setup for lindenwood next weekend. I definitely prefer that course to hickory heights

I’d play lindenwood more often but honestly it’s harder to find a way to get a reasonable tee time there than it is to play a lot of country clubs.

That course definitely has pace of play issues.

I took off tomorrow because I have to burn PTO. Of course it's the coldest day of the week.

I might just go to Top Golf since they have bay heaters and the top tracer stuff now.

Which is astounding considering they have 3 nines

It's because they do a garbage ass job of controlling start times. I'm finishing red and going to gold and instead of having an open tee box for my 10th hole there's a foursome (or two or three) lined up waiting to start their first hole.

i will say figuring out logistics of making 3 nines work can't be that easy

The gold as the second nine screws a lot of stuff up

The first hole is a short par 4 and the second hole is a par 5 that can cause lost balls and also can be reached in 2. So that par 5 can really clog up an anything. Plus if the gold is the second nine you get chuckleheads grabbing food and drink at the turn.

Is Gold the one running parallel to the driving range?

If so, I hit the electrical wires on 2 and it almost sent me onto 3 fairway.

Yeah, the power line runs right through hole #2.

One time last summer I hit the god damn pole on my drive and ricocheted backwards into the rough. In hindsight, that should have been a free redo
