Easy, the Australasian Tour doesn’t have any bans in effect. Besides, they would be nuts to leave a native out of their events.

Or was that Marsupial Sarcasm that I missed?
I thought that event was tied to the dp tour too

And the reason I think that is because when you Google "dp world tour" the Aussie event is the first result

And I think it's listed as a dp event in the tv guide

Yes, it's a co-sanctioned event and with the lawsuit that a few British players dropped on DPWT back in the summer, the Tour decided to not cause too much more trouble and allowed them to play. So we saw a bunch of LIV players at the BMW PGA as well as a couple in Sun City and now in Australia. Adrian Otaegui won one of the Spain events and he had played a few LIV events. I don't know what this is going to mean going forward for the DPWT but I'm guessing that because it's not as big of a deal with them, they'll keep allowing players in.

For you night owls out there, we've got the Aussie Open on late night today through Saturday. Both the men and the women are playing both courses at the same time. It's being played on two of the better courses in the Sandbelt, Victoria & Kingston Heath, two that I was lucky enough to play when I was there for the Presidents Cup in 2019. Victoria was the first course we played when we arrived. The first hole there is about 275 yards downhill and that day, it was downwind with concrete-hard fairways. I drove that green and made birdie. The rest of the round was much worse, including a 14th hole to forget. So I'll be having PTSD flashbacks every time they show that hole.

Watched the first round and now watching the second.

If I somehow end up rich I'm most definitely doing a lot of golfing in the sand belt

Thanks for the heads up. Prime time golf is the best. There's been some great stuff from the usual Twitter accounts on sand belt golf

fun golf weekend with the Hero World Challenge and Aussie Open back to back

I wonder how many more years of me thinking Hovland will win a major until he actually does

My dad asked about playing on Saturday. High of 44, which means that it will 44 degrees from 2:15 to 2:30 then 38 or something for the rest of the day. Should I play

That's below the cutoff for me to go on my own, but I'd probably go if I was invited.

Last time I played in temps that low, I caught an iron thin and couldn't feel my hand for 4 holes.

I'd probably pass.

Looks like the wind is projected to be light, which is helpful on these types of days. But no sun, is bad. I would have no problem playing in mid-40's, but definitely a walking day, you stay warmer by moving.

Buy the winter golf gloves while you're at it.

I love golf but golfing in sub 40 temps is not a good experience

I played yesterday in the noon to. three range in sarver. It was low -mid 40's.i think it was fine, no wind so the conditions played pretty true.

again, wouldn't ride 18 holes today, but walking was pleasant, and I didn't have any heavy layers on, or need anything for my hands

Yesterday was definitely a great day for golf. The high only hit 44 here but the sun was out and the wind was almost non-existent. I tooled around in a hoodie most of the day outside.
