Made par on 7 of the first 8 holes today (6 in a row to start) and then the wheels fell off. Fun game.

I haven't played golf in weeks, and even then it was sporadic. I legit felt like I'm not sure if I can actually remember how to play. I used to put so much thought into my swing and I bet I've forgotten a bunch of it.

I stopped into my indoor golf shop yesterday to sign up for my fall league. Was looking at the new Titleist TSR drivers and when I picked one up to take a practice swing most of my routine did come back to me, so that's cool. Those drivers are really nice, too. Very classy and understated look, and the TSR2 is a lot smaller looking at address than the TSi2. Though he does have a used TSi2 in stock for about half price of what a new TSR would cost. Tempting. I've hit that TSi2 and was very consistent with it, though I still had my slice back then. I haven't swung it with my 'new' swing.

Played at Bedford Springs on Saturday. Ended up giving myself a +5 on the missed holes because of my late arrival thanks to construction, but played about a 97ish game. 51 on the front, 46 on the back. I figured I would have shot double/single/double on those first three holes. But overall, just didn't play consistent at all.

Probably the highlight of the day was leaving a drive open on the back 9, hitting a driveway lamp post across the street, and having the ball ricochet off the post, across the street, through a wood fence and into the middle of the fairway.

I can’t get enough that she uses the handle “golf facts”. It’s so delightfully camp

"There's a few things that I would like to see on the LIV side that needs to happen," McIlroy said. "I think Greg needs to go. I think he just needs to exit stage left. He's made his mark, but I think now is the right time to sort of say, 'Look, you've got this thing off the ground, but no one is going to talk unless there's an adult in the room that can actually try to mend fences.'"

In an appearance on Claude Harmon’s “Son of a Butch” podcast, Perez outlined his issues with Mickelson, but refused to go into further detail about exactly what happened.

“When it comes to Phil, I have a different hate for Phil than most people,” Perez told Harmon. “People won’t know the story—I’m not going to go into the story again—but Phil crossed the line with me that is just uncrossable and unforgivable.

“He knows that he screwed up. He apologized for the action, but I cannot forgive him for it because I’ve known Phil for a long, long time. I’ve known the guy forever. And the fact that when he made this action, not only was it—he had intentions of doing it; he knew it was going to happen before it happened and when he did it—I was hurt, for one. I was like ‘How can this guy do this?’

My wife, in advance of my 40th birthday next May, notified me that she won the lottery for the 2023 Ryder Cup, for Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. She's sending me and one friend TBD to head over for 5-6 days. Will get to go to the practice rounds and the final day.

Man, I am frigging stoked.

Easy, the Australasian Tour doesn’t have any bans in effect. Besides, they would be nuts to leave a native out of their events.

Or was that Marsupial Sarcasm that I missed?
