Tiger is 2 under through 5 while Corey effing Conners, the 3rd alternate who tried to Monday qualify is 3 under through 4, to stretch his lead to 3. Crazy

This is a Good Take

A Masters with Tiger, Phil and Sergio playing well along with JT, DJ, hopefully Spieth and Rory can turn it around soon because man that would be awesome

They're all decent starting with the Honda, yeah. Can't wait for the Players to be in March next year too

Houston is always good, and Arnold next week with another WGC event.

I forgot about this...that will be a nice change. It's hard to get excited for the PGAC in August, it just doesn't carry the same vested interest for me.

So great to see Tiger in contention...he is playing really well, and clearly he is 100% healthy for the first time in years. Some solid storylines tomorrow, especially with Connors leading with some big names behind him.

Fun fact:

Corey Connors -- 21 PGA Tour starts, 0 wins, 0 top 10s
The 3 guys chasing him at -8 (Sneds, Rose, Tiger) -- 928 starts, 95 wins, 366 top 10s

Good luck, eh.

Yup, the prevailing wisdom is that he will falter...we'll see. What a moment for the kid.

My prediction? Justin Rose.

Yeah he might falter but Rose and Snedeker are no slouches. I'm pretty pumped.

The buzz when he is competing is remarkable. He hit the longest drive of the day on the Par 5 2nd, and as you can see above, at the highest swing speed of anyone ALL SEASON the tour. Considering his injury history, his age, and the young gunners on tour, that is extremely impressive. There is no question he is 100% healthy. Given his fitness level, he can definitely compete into his 50s IMO.

It also seems like he is having more fun out there, and not taking himself as seriously.

Hey, I just want to see Phil win one more. Speaking in general terms, I do think that because of the increased focus on fitness now (as opposed to 20-25 years ago), the Golden Bear's age record at the '86 Masters will be broken in the next 10-15 years.

I remember being so upset when Tom Watson almost won the 2009 Open. Had the trophy in his grasp, all he had to do was par the last hole, and couldn't do it. Would have been such an incredible story (well, still was).

Are the azaleas going to be in bloom for the Masters or did spring happen early again in Georgia? These are the important questions needing answered
