Haters gonna hate. Golf is infinitely more interesting and fun to watch when he is playing and that is not up for debate.

My first set of clubs was from callaway golf preowned. I bought them with my kennywood bonus money when I was 21. good times.
Kenny actually worked at Kennywood

I'll be damned

Tiger puts a wood pin high from 270 out and has an eagle to tie for the lead. Lets. Go.

Tiger finished eight strokes ahead of DJ and nine ahead of Stenson. Nuff said.

Interesting...no one watching Tiger these first 2 days?

Made the cut (unfortunately) on the number with a birdie at the last. Through 2 rounds, he hasn't been all that great off the tee or hitting greens (21 of 36 thus far) but his scrambling has been pretty good without any sign of the chip yips I watched him have at Isleworth and Phoenix. Took a couple of Flashback Friday Hulk swipes out of the rough that made it pretty clear he doesn't have any back pain. Has said after both days that there's a lot of competition rust that he has to knock off given how good the field is and he hasn't played against any of them in really, 2 years. We'll see what he has to offer on the weekend.

I would imagine Tiger making cuts would be good for your job.

Anyway he hit 3 fairways today. Not gonna go very low doing that. Jason Day had a nice round, and Tony Finau can hit the piss out of the ball. Phil is steadily growing on me, used to not be able to stand him

I love seeing Tiger back in action. He's obviously been quite reprehensible in his personal life, but for some reason I find myself having this soft spot for him.

This is nuts. Unless Noren drains this 40 foot eagle putt on the 5th playoff hole I don't think they'll finish tonight.

You're down by 2 and you're in the fairway and can reach the green. There's no other play if you want to win. If you want to protect your wallet, then you do what JB did. That's a chickenshit play and he took for freakin ever to do it.

Think I read it was 4 minutes 18 seconds to layup. Not cool

Four minutes is an eternity on the golf course. What a schmuck.

In th past, he has openly admitted that his pace of play is directly correlated to making money. He said something along the lines of “if a putt is worth 30,000 or 40,000, you better believe that i’m going to take my time if I’m in 30th place or 2nd place.

So if you are JB Holmes and you are in 4th place and a potential shot into the drink on 18 at Torrey pines means a loss of over 100,000, you better believe he is taking the easy way out. Gutless.

Count me in on the JB Holmes hate train. Their round took over six hours, which should be a criminal offense. More than a hole behind the group in front of them. Noren should have pulled a Rory Sabbatini and gone stomping off on his own without his pathetically slow playing partner.

There’s really no defense for a layup in that situation. JB said he thought he had a better chance to hole out a wedge than chip it in based on the hole location. That’s a cute excuse. Perhaps if you thought 3-wood was too much, JB, how about taking a little off of it? Ya know, be a total player and exhibit some finesse rather than play caveman golf with ‘ungh, hit ball far’.
