Your group wasn't flagged for slow play because the course doesn't want you to not come back. They'll ruin an entire day of golf for every group instead of risking hurt feelings for two guys that probably don't belong there anyway.

I feel for you, I hate feeling like I am the reason someone else is having a bad time.

It stopped being fun around halfway through. Just watching how neither person in that cart had no urgency while groups kept backing up just didn't sit well with me. I'm not gonna say it's the reason I shot 50, but it definitely did not help.

After I got back to the car, I pulled this thing out and took a shot from the first tee box. It went about as well as you'd expect, and by that I mean not at all.

Yeah, that is painful. You can be a guy that shoots 125 and still get around the course in four hours. We were two groups behind a foursome that had no business playing from the blues, yet they were.

#1 This is the US Open
#2 It's supposed to be colder and a touch windier than it was today. The temps aren't supposed to get into the 60s and it's going to be a north-northwest wind again

Take those 2 factors and no lead is safe and nothing outside of 8 is out of the realm of possibility. You get a guy like, oh I don't know, Justin Thomas (remember him?) who is 7 back (sound familiar?) go out and shoot a 67 early enough and get into the house at E, then let's see what happens. You've got 2 guys in the final group who have never won in the US. You have major winners Rahm, Keegan, and Scheff ahead of Rory yes but that's just one shot. In an Open situation, 3 shots is pretty much nothing.
Yeah but everyone plays the same course. I think at least one of the top 5 will shoot even tomorrow and I doubt Rory will be able to go below -1 if everyone else is struggling
told ya

Scheffler vs Zalatoris vs Fitzpatrick is gonna be fun down the stretch

Rooting for Zalatoris but I’m good with any of the 3

because I was right about Rory not having a chance

I mean, it wasn’t the hottest of takes of alltime, but I’m still going to claim credit

It’s a **** take calling a guy down 3 with 18 to play having no chance. But if that claim helps cure the herpes, congrats.

It’s kind of funny/unfortunate that the difference right now is that one hole where both Fitzpatrick and Zalatoris were right of the fairway but Fitzpatrick was further right, in the trampled grass, and it made the shot easier
