How many teams are there in a tournament of Penn State Alumni in a "Central Florida Chapter"? 4? ;)

I think there were 20-23 teams out there today with a couple no-shows due to the threat of rain that luckily never arrived. You couldn't make worse than a bogey but one team posted a crowd-pleasing 85. That had to have been a fun group to play in.

Who has two thumbs and bought a 17 degree hybrid in the middle of February probably because they are desperate to do anything remotely related to golf? This guy.

16.5 degree 4 wood w a regular shaft. The hybrid is a few inches shorter and has a stiff shaft. My swing speed is right in between stiff and regular so I’m trying see if I can handle a stiff one for those longer lengths (Twss)

Hideki, who has been fading fast since the Masters win, drops a 62 to win the Genesis.

Who has two thumbs and extended a Charlotte work trip for a 50 degree winter golf outing in Charlotte? This guy.

I learned what "dormant grass" means. Played two courses, Rocky River and Mooresville. Really enjoyed both of them, though the pin placements at Rocky River were vicious. The greens down there compared to Pittsburgh feel like you are playing on a mini-golf matt.

10/10, though for a getaway winter trip. I have a feeling that the golf culture is insane there. the weather was not great, but both courses were humming with traffic, and running like normal (food at the turns, range open, cart girls). So, will keep in mind for impromptu future trips.

By mini golf mat, do you mean soft greens or greens that roll forever?

The greens were extremely fast compared to Pittsburgh muni courses.

And no, the courses were Bermuda grass

I got this for $60 used last summer at the driving range.

Love hitting this club.

I also put my 3-wood back in the back to start this year. Hit it twice this weekend, and went driver, 3-wood to get a par 5 green in two since I don’t remember when.

Rad. I should snag one for myself to force myself to go.

The cool thing about that site is finding courses nearby that I have never heard of.
