I don't understand the Presidents Cup, why is there this and the Ryder Cup?

Also interesting that I would have no idea this was happening if I weren't in Charlotte right now

It was created in large part because the rest of the world wanted to be included in something. And who was a mainstay of the Internationals early on? Greg Norman. He was divisive even back then having had the 1994 captain (David Graham, a fellow Aussie) ousted when they chose him to captain the 96 team as well.

I’m going to tomorrows round of the Presidents Cup. I don’t think there’s much hype because the Americans are big time favorites (-900)

Yeah, McGinley was proposing that on Live last night.

@Orlando Penguin, I happened to catch this interview in its entirety last night. There were a few awkward moments.

Yesterday I was on my way to shooting my best nine hole round of the year at Quicksilver and ran out daylight.

I was at 32 after 7 holes and easily could have come in at 41 or 42. Teed off on #17 and lost it right after the drive despite still having some daylight. By the time we got to where the dogleg turns, there was no chance of finding it.

At that point, me and the coworker I was sharing a cart with called it a night but the other pair we were with still played through. I'm still not sure how they played through that hole and the next.

Monahan's a seasoned pro at not saying much. And now that the lawsuit is in play, he can use that as a veil to say even less. I thought the questions that were posed were fair and questions that fans are asking as well. I think he could have had a better answer to the one about if there's a road back for those players who went to LIV but he elected to punt on it because of the lawsuit, which in a lot of ways is the only thing he could do because he can't have what he says in an interview used against him in court.

Agreed.

President's Cup action today--kind of crazy that all four current matches are 1 Up for the US. Cantlay and Xander housed Scott and Hideki

I didn’t realize how unbalanced the squads were. The international team is rolling out Mito Pereira and Christiaan Bezuidenhout as a pairing today against Cam Young and Kisner

Is that simply because more of the LIV defections have been non-US players?

I had initially thought the line was more around the US’ domination at the previous Ryder Cup. I didn’t realize that it was the international B squad

I breezed through the LIV roster and the three names i noticed were Oostheuzien, Schwartzel and Cam Smith. Smith is a giant loss and the other two have a lot of experience. Also, i spelled those first two names wrong, no doubt.

Ancer, Grace, Lahiri, Leishman, Niemman and Ortiz would have been options as well
