I’d probably use dumb instead of bizarre.

DA is finished with 2 rounds and 5 off the cut line, while Smylie is 3 shots clear of last place with 6 holes remaining. Not good!

Fleety was going fine until he yanked that approach from the middle of the fairway at 8. After that, he was pretty shaky all over and that bad ball striking cost him. Then after getting that birdie at 17, I thought there was no chance this was ending in regulation. Not sure why he started that 2nd at 18 where he did. Hit the middle of the green, 2-putt, and try your luck in the playoff.

Did some schmuck shout during his backswing on 18? I saw several tweets suggesting that.

I heard it too as Fleetwood took his club back. But he didn't react at all to it and I think that NBC's audio may have been off sync from the video. It'll sometimes happen through the magic of satellite transmissions that the audio gets a touch ahead of the video so it's possible that there was a sync issue which made it certainly sound like someone yelled in his backswing.

Didn't realize it until the announcers mentioned it but he doesn't like playing a fade at all. Should have just played the draw he knows to the middle. Sucks, for sure thought a birdie from his position was a given and we'd see a playoff

I wish they'd throw the Valspar in between the Arnold Palmer-Players-Honda.. Those are 3 of my favorite tourneys and some names skip out due to being back to back to back. Though the Valspar has grown on me a little bit. Guess that's just the other side of the coin with the season being a month shorter than before.

Doesn't necessarily mean the big names will still play Honda. They're gonna come off getting their brains beaten in by Sawgrass and turn around and get their brains beaten in some more by PGA National? At least that article tells me that the Players will be played the week before the NCAA Tournament again next year so I don't have to be mad at the Tour for that.

Yeah which is why the reshuffle doesn't make much sense to me. Go Arnie-Players-Valspar-Honda

That's a really fun read, thanks for sharing. Interesting how low the US Open is (and the Players much lower), although I like those two better than both The Open and the PGA.
