Great tournament. Happy for Molinari. Dude had a hell of a weekend and a steady as hell final round for a dude who never won a major before.

I'm sure tournament officials are just absolutely thrilled about this. Expect a sloppily created rule for alternates and someone in the top 50 getting their knee taken out before the tournament starts.

And a 97 at Carnoustie to go along with my 97 at St Andrews. Wind was a real dodint when going into it. Parred 3 and 11-13. But sadly, finished 8-7...but stayed out of the Burn.

Very cool. Which course did you like playing better?

From a history standpoint, there’s nothing like St Andrews. The conditions were also better there and if I hadn’t been a moron, I’d have scored much better. Today was easier because I knew the lines based on being out on the course all week plus it’s easy to figure out where the greens were because of the TV towers. But the wind magnified my cut and I gave away a lot of shots by again being dumb. However, my bunker game was on point. Was in 7 bunkers over the 2 rounds and got out of all of them in one. Last year at Birkdale, it took 9 shots to get out of 3 bunkers, including one I putted into. :face:

I’m sure everyone has something they don’t like about their job, but yours sounds amazing and I’m super jealous of it. That’s an impressive round on that course also!!

I'm honestly considering going for a putter fitting because for whatever reason I no longer feel comfortable in my putting stance. Don't know if that's because I've gotten taller since I bought the putter or my previous stance was too bent over for me to accomplish in my current state.

I'm still kicking myself for attempting to switch putters. I'm finally getting around to where my putting is getting close to where it was last year, but overall it has cost me 2-3 strokes per nine holes.

switched the shaft on my driver from a regular to a stiff and what a difference it makes.

Gained about 20-30 yards on my driver, going from 250-260 to about 270-280 along with helping cut down on my slice. Not saying that it's totally gone, but it's not as drastic.

Those of you who like to participate in fantasy leagues or the odd office pool....it is very soft at Bellerive this week. The greens are like sponges. This is likely a very good week to pick the long (and especially straight) hitters.

Damn it OP just tell me who to pick. Otherwise I’m going with the ole “One of these days Rickie is gonna make me look smart” strategy.

Watched this video last night and greatly enjoyed it:

It was nice to see a semi-skinny John Daly, but was more surprised by their commentary stating that Tom Kite was the leading money winner in the history of the tour. I knew that Kite was a good golfer and obviously purses have risen steadily with time, but had no idea he was at that level at one point in time.
Kite was the first in Tour history to reach $6 million, $7 million, $8 million, and $9 million in career earnings.
Ended up winning just over $11MM on the PGA Tour. Has won over $16MM on the Champions Tour, while making 400 of 411 cuts.
