Golf is the ultimate confidence/mental game. If you don’t think the way Block does in that podcast clip, then you shouldn’t be out there in competition. Nothing wrong with having that belief in yourself. But no surprise the internet haters are out (not lumping y’all into that). They’re gonna use their opinions on Block to further their following.

hey, he can believe however he wants to believe, but that also doesn't mean we can't make fun of him

Ugly outing for Block. I kinda wish the story would have ended on Sunday.

I think Koepka is going to get tired of LIV quickly

TIL that Koepka's great uncle is former Pirate Dick Groat and that his mother used to be a news anchor in my hometown.
When he was near the end of his baseball career, he and some of his baseball buddies built a golf course that Groat still owns today. One person who once played that course regularly, and tended its bar occasionally, was Brooks Koepka’s father, Bob. Bob Koepka’s uncle is Dick Groat. Dick’s sister, Mary Margaret Groat, married a Pennsylvania man named Burwell Koepka. They had a son named Bob. Bob married a Johnstown, Pa., TV news anchor name Denise Jakows. Bob and Denise have two sons, Brooks and Chase.

Boys, broke 90 today for the first time in 3 years. 30 putts. Dunked an eagle from 77 yards, first ever eagle.

Got a new driver, figured it out on the back 9 of my last round, and my 9s since have been 43, 44, 44.

My goal for a while has been get to about bogey golf then identify where to focus my improvements. But basically couldn't get my ball in play off the tee and was scrambling more often than not. So hopefully I can stay where I am and then tune certain areas.

I'm not a super long hitter, max drive is ~270 and really can't hit a green from outside of ~180 so knocking my 50-100 yard shots into makeable range will give me a chance for a lot more pars

MAX, pal. Usually closer to 250 and believe me my drives never get used in scrambles

does anyone here prefer the pin in?

I’ll remove the pin if I’m putting for a bird but otherwise I’ll keep it in, mostly out of laziness. I definitely prefer it out though

Same. I prefer it out but not enough to overcome my laziness

Also I will pull it if it's cut crooked bc that F's me up

I leave it, but I am a "die in the hole" pace putter, so if it hits the stick I already messed up.

They're all makeable.

What course/hole did you make that hole out?

I did it once, and I hope one day to replicate that feeling

#4 at firestone farms. From the tees I played, you have about 270 to work with on your drive before you end up in the fescue, then almost a 90 degree dogleg left uphill another 230 or so. Hit about a 245 drive, 175 5I, 77 yard 52 degree.

Any 5Afers ever get an Ace?

That’s the par five with the dog leg left?

I’ve only played their once, liked the course a lot. That’s an elevated green I right, hope you got to witness it go in.

No aces for me.

I shot 82 at birdsfoot yesterday. Was +2 through 7 where the two bogeys were 8 ft par chances that just missed. Game felt in control, was actually just really unlucky up to that point cause I was right in an undulation 4 times leading to baseball swing shots that I chunked/came up short twice (executed the other two). Then pulled my drive on 8 proceeded to double. Pulled it back together and had a chance to break 80, but had a 3-putt par on 16, where a birdie would have got me to +7. But then 3-putt the par 3 17 and hit a bad drive on 18 leaving a completely blind approach shot from 170
