I'm pretty sure I, at the very least, sprained ligaments in my foot slipping on the 5th tee box.

Still piped the 4 iron though

I accomplished 2 things today: I broke 80 for the first time and my handicap is now single digits. :fist:
How far was the putt to clinch it?

the off-the-green putt on 18 that landed close enough for the tap-in to save par was the key.

Tap-ins to break 80 for the first time make it so easy. My first time was the same way and that sense of accomplishment was pretty satisfying (still talking about golf here). Now go get 75.

My first real chance at a 79 had a 4 footer on 18 for 79. That putt had absolutely no chance

The prices are accurate. But the $18 gets you a 25-ounce bottle. So you can think of it as 2 $9 beers and then it'll make ya feel maybe a little better.

Power grouping first 2 rounds with Tiger, Rory, and Jordan going together.

Oh Paige…
I can’t decide how I feel about her. She knows why you’re watching. She owns it. She admits it. But other golf YouTubers probably aren’t fans, I’d imagine.

Speaking of golf YouTubers, I’ve decided I can’t watch videos about grip, swing technique, etc. it messes me up too much. Information overload. And even if I’m just watching out of boredom and not seeking out specific tips, they enter my brain via osmosis and they accidentally become a swing thought.

I enjoy watching some vids where guys will walk you around and talk about course management or walk you through the mental approach shot by shot. It’s not too technical.

Rick Shiels playing a casual match against Lee Westwood, fine. MrShortGame showing me how to hit my drives straighter, no. Golf Sidekick challenging a lady pro on some course in Thailand, great.

some of them are good, some of them are bad

for me, the hardest thing to figure out is my driver/irons. But I watched some random video about sand shots recently where they emphasized keeping your weight on your front foot and it helped me out

I think the driver/iron videos are unhelpful because those shots inherently have so many moving parts so trying to fix “one thing” invariably leads to confusion about so many other things. with simpler shots like pitches, chips or putts, you really only need little tidbits to remember and after that the mechanics are less important than the important keys

A good image of why they need to roll the ball back. This is what you have to do to a course for it to host a tourney. And Southern Hills is a sweet track
