If given the chance to play Nemacolin Woodlands for $143/day should I jump on that? Sheppard's Rock on Sunday and Mystic Rock on Monday. No requirement to stay at their resort.

I'm going to do one for sure. Any reason to pick one over the other if I don't want to do both?

I don't know what that means. Probably not? It's part of a competitive golf tour I signed up for. All I know is it's $143 per day, capped to 40 people per day, and we were granted an exclusion on having to stay over night to play. Comes with a lunch.

Do you even know 39 people? Doubt it.

Bring me and that gets you down to 38. Surely a few others around these parts could help too.

I am goal oriented, this gives me set milestones to work towards.

https://www.vgagolf.org/ Veterans Golf Association. A coworker in Arkansas is an event organizer down there and turned me onto it.

$40 a year, and reduced rates where we play.

I can bring a guest, I think once a year. I am definitely playing Omni in Bedford. Maybe Toftrees. And either Berkley Springs or The Woods in WV. Plus one or two days of the Nemacolin event.

Totteridge has a practice area with three bunkers to work from, if anyone out this way is looking.

https://www.totteridge.com/golf-course/play-better-golf
Totteridge is home to one of the finest practice facilities in Western Pa. We are proud to offer two large practice putting greens, three sand bunkers, a practice par three, a large natural grass teeing area as well as a new artificial teeing surface that allows us to keep the range open despite inclement weather. With 3 different range ball sizes, the Totteridge practice facility can accommodate you whether you are looking for a pre round warmup or a full practice session. Please call the golf shop to inquire about the Totteridge Range Pass.

I'm thinking of taking my lessons there so I can get acquainted. It's about a five minute drive from my place. Give me a month or so to get my bearings and I'd be happy to shoot a round with you if you wanted company.

Well the decision has been made. Using some of my bonus on a new set of irons (and potentially a new driver).

Anyone have experiences on fittings and have any recommendations on how to approach the process or where to go?

I was planning on golf galaxy but had a few friends that did Club Champion.

Not sure how consistent your swing is, but first and foremost would highly recommend getting some reps in before you go get fitted, so you're not going in cold. The more consistent you are to your usual game swing, the better they can properly fit you for the best equipment.

No idea why Google thinks that "converted match point" is "transformed swordfish." Deep neural network FTW! :D

All this slobbering over the line DeChambeau took off the 6th tee at Bay Hill yesterday. Stop it. He only made birdie. He just picked a different way to go about doing it. Zero reward for the giant risk he took. But yet, everyone wants to fall all over themselves gushing about it.

Should be a fun Sunday. Lot of fun stories in play....I'm personally pulling for Westy or Spieth. Can't believe the former never won a major.

Whoa...Westwood has won only TWO PGA Tour events? Is that just from lack of playing/mostly being on the Euro tour?

It was unnerving watching that jittery protracted pre-swing routine. Ain't nobody got time for that.
