Rick Shiels had this conversation on one of his podcasts. His producer used to be a fitter. If you talk about budget up front a good fitter will make the most of your session by only showing you shafts and heads in that range. If you spend an hour with them and then walk because they want to sell you an $800 driver then neither of you got anything out of that hour.

Lakeview....good luck on their efforts. The place has a ton of potential but the greens are cratered and covered in leaves and other debris.

Tough day today.

Had a chip-in birdie in competition, so that was cool. Used a 3h to tee off with then chipped it in from the rough with the same club.

Iron Valley tomorrow, has to be better than today.

Enjoy! Hopefully the wind lets up a bit, that course is really exposed.

Another back door Top 5 for Rory. It's comical at this point.

Totteridge is $80/rd on the weekends this year. I am not particularly price sensitive, but, wow.

does the PGA consider PGA European Tour events to be part of the PGA or a separate entity?

Aww man... one of my coworkers mentioned it today and I thought it was no more than 70... that's disappointing, but given how well kept it is, not terribly surprising.

Thanks Biden. imo it's probably a fair price if that's the weekend prime time rate - $60ish seemed like a really good deal for how much I liked that place. But, golf is just too expensive here in general.

They have some sort of partnership together so Horschel can go win at Wentworth without issue. What’s interesting is that if Spieth wants to go play the Aussie Open (which he won in 2014) and it happens to be the same week as RSM or Sony, the Tour has kinda set a precedent here to deny it. This story just can’t die fast enough.

ESPN is going to do a Manningcast for the PGA Championship:
For those that dislike the current crop of commentators, now there is another option. Joe Buck and Michael Collins will host. Similar to MNF, it will have guests to come and chat. "The Mannings will be guests at some point during the tournament, and other guests include Couples and Barkley, Troy Aikman, Josh Allen and actor Jon Hamm."
I hate Nantz, so the alternative will be Joe Buck.

Thanks I Hate It.

I lost an entire sleeve on one hole with no water involved today. Accomplishments!
