Rory's gonna win at St Andrews imo. Or Morikawa will repeat

Will Z has played 9 majors and he’s already 3/4 of the way to the Silver Slam. Great battle between him, Fitzy, and Scheff with Fitzy finding that extra clutch gear.

I feel terrible for Zalatoris. He's been taking his major close calls in stride but that was brutal.

He’ll get his. He’s gonna have an avalanche of wins coming similar to what Scheffler has done this year. We had been asking Scheff for 2 years when he was going to win and he kept saying that it was there. Z is in the same spot. His only weakness is that inconsistent putting stroke. But you don’t hit the ball as well as he does and stay winless long. Plus, he has a really great attitude and is handling this career ascent really well.

Two things you may not have seen yesterday - on 18 green, Fitz’s brother, Alex, bypassed him to go to Will, who was his college teammate at Wake. That was pretty classy. And afterward, Z told Fitz’s parents that if he had to lose to anyone, he’s happy he lost to their son. For two guys who had never won on Tour, let alone a major, it was as good as you could ask for from a final group of that experience level at a major.

I wondered who Alex went to. I joked with my wife that maybe it was Billy since Alex caddied the US Am win he was going to congratulate the caddy first.

It did seem like players were hitting 13 easily this year.

Dude hates golf so it makes sense he’d join a tour where he’d get guaranteed money while golfing as little as possible.

He's got his majors and now he doesn't have to pretend to care about a bunch of events

It is kinda humorous that the Brooks-Bryson rivalry was going to be a thing on the tour for years to come and less than a year later they’re varying degrees of washed up and off the tour.

Didn’t realize Pat Perez defected a couple weeks ago (doubt anyone cares) and Abraham Ancer defected yesterday. That one kind of sucks, but still doesn’t move the needle much, if at all. A Hovland or Morikawa bailing would be bad news, but until that happens LIV will be nothing more than an odd collection of scrubs and has-beens with name value that complete in not real tournaments that no one can actually find the leaderboard for and have to go out of their way to watch.

Mehh the Fall series needed revamped. And I'd rather watch this than the Sanderson Farms Championship with the highest rated player being Sebastian Munoz. Though, those are somewhat interesting to see players playing for their card. This would be fun if they can actually make a team concept that works. Like based on sponsors/F1 style as opposed to Team Whipsticks or whatever LIV did

Yep, crazy how far both of their stars have fallen.

I was really bummed to see Pat Perez go, more just because I am disappointed than anything. He really gave Phil hell a couple months ago and talked about how happy he is to have the opportunity to play on the Champions Tour and just love life.

Zalatoris has played in 9 majors. He withdrew from the 2021 Open Championship due to injury (he was in contention after day 1 too) and other than that he’s been cut twice (first was when he first turned pro at age 21) and top 10 six times

dude is good.

Weren't you the one beating Oosthuizen up for his second place finishes?
