I don’t want to judge it without knowing the details but this seems absolutely ridiculous on the surface

comes off as pathetic by the PGA. Not that I thought they were a saintly org but they look so greasy

This has a Dunder Mifflin acquiring Michael Scott Paper Company feel to it.

Jimmy Dunne and another suit were the first ones to meet with Yasir. Given Dunne's own 9/11 history, that is really sad and disappointing.

it’s sad because the PGA knew this would be terrible press and still did it. Because they know in the long run, the thing that’ll matter more than their reputation is their bottom line

they don’t give a ****

Yeah, I'm honestly just really sad about this. They've essentially handed control of professional golf to the Saudis. The Saudis are going to invest more and more money now that they have a foothold.

I can see myself watching the four majors and that's that. Going to the Ryder Cup will be a very interesting experience this year.

IMO, the PGA saw a path to going private, to identify a way to hide their funding and then not have to justify their payouts to players.

Same thing with the UFC, they figured out a way to stay private so they can continue to maximize profits and use the players like cattle.

How would you feel to be a PGA player that bypassed the money from LIV, (not that the top ones were going poor in the PGA), stayed loyal to the PGA, towed the company line, and then found out about this yesterday. Oof.

Off the top of my head, all the old farts at the courses around are miserable, except the Pheasant Ridge guy. He always seems nice.
Playing there tomorrow. Any tips?

Don't slip on #5 tee box

But seriously, the main goal is to keep it in between the trees. Most holes are wide enough with some leeway, but if you're in the tree line, it gets tough to make a play.

Is LIV actually supported by the Saudi government, or just rich oil barons?

PIF, which technically is not a state fund, but it’s a state fund. Also rich oil barons in Saudi Arabia are the same as the family that runs the government

PIF is different than say Qatari or Bahraini owned sports teams by the fact that it’s a direct fund for MBS
