This beef has more to do about being a clown on the internet than slow play. Slow play is no bueno, but you know what is less bueno? When some d-bag nobody golfer threatens another golfer with physical harm

Cleaning out my childhood closet for a garage sale and came across my autographed copy of Sports Illustrated when Greg Norman won The Open. Might be a good time to cash that in.

It was free amazingly enough. He and Nigel Mansell at a charity golf tourney for the Michigan 500 just a couple weeks after the Open

Getting out for the first time in close to two months tomorrow. Heading out to one of my favorite tracks, Iron Valley.

@dodint, this is only my second trip after meeting you there. Looking forward to it.

Awesome. I'll be there next Sunday. Good stuff. You still have that gift certificate for lessons?

Cbear, that's too much man for one venue.

Nice!

Today was a microcosm of why I love and hate golf. Shot a 106, first round in two months on a very challenging course. I was terrible from 150 in but my driving was better than ever. 230-265 dead straight on probably half my drives. Those greens are fast as hell, just a heads up.

The couple my neighbor and I got paired with were awesome. Grew up in somerset and live right in the development at Iron Valley. They had a bunch of pony bottles of Fireball and broke them out for the group any time there was a birdie (so twice ) we exchanged numbers and we are going to set a date for them to golf down here. That's what I love the most about this game.

Got this swing-aid just now. Played with a friend the other day that recommended it. I like the idea of how you can actually hit this thing on the range and it gives you immediate feedback.
Took this thing to the range the other night. Definitely going to take some consistent work, and it is kind of hard to sort of teach yourself where you are missing. So, I'd probably say i am hitting somewhere between 50-75% of the balls right, which is the "wrong" buzzer. But, I do think that for the first time i actually recognized the sensation of "oh, that's how you are supposed to hit it". I definitely don't have the muscle memory, but mentally, the sensation is to keep my left arm back and my right arm tucked longer, so almost like keeping my hands static at the top of my backswing, and then tucked in during the backswing. I think what I am fighting is the movement of my left arm being either with or ahead of my body. It's just interesting, because I think I feel myself fighting that in the swing and right now, I have to keep my mind on that left hand to keep it back. So, it's just going to have to be multiple trips to the range this week to try and relearn the swing.

Pro tip: Be fat, and your right arm stays tucked automatically.

Tucked and in the slot is the key.

That is what I fixed by reducing my backswing to its correct ending position. Huge.

Yeah, makes pureing irons seem easy. But, haven't figured out how to transfer that over to my driver, I am losing way too many off right.

Congrats. Pre round warm up for me is just to get the muscles awake. I don't really practice new stuff.

I didn’t practice anything new but from a chipping perspective I just needed to work on my form. Once I was able to visualize the shot off my club I felt pretty confident going into the round

I took a video of my iron shots on the range…ugh it wasn’t good. My irons on the course were fine but I’m worried I’m gonna have to untangle a lot

93 last Saturday, 81 yesterday. April golf. Chunked like 4 chips in the muck yesterday too. My ego wouldn't let me just run something on and I had to use the 60 even though the bounce was useless on that soft sht

Buddy took me up to Meadville CC. Cool track

I do have this old Mizuno 2-iron blade that I've been hitting pretty frequently. Hitting that club pure is quite the quick dopamine rush.

What's Ulf hoping to accomplish this golf season?
