Yeah the Bryson stuff was fun for a while but he is just a miserable sack. Spent ten minutes talking about how RSG is one of his least favorite Open venues. He’s a massive ******. Always has been.

Here are my starting 5 this week. Picking all favorites has not worked out well for me in previous pools. Probably most nervous about JT as he hasn't played well in the Open.
Jon Rahm
Scottie Scheffler
Louis Oosthuizen
Patrick Reed
Justin Thomas

Alright... Shot Vision app. Here's my 2 cents:
tl;dnr - if you set it up properly, it's pretty darn close.
I went out at lunch today to the driving range and started getting it set up. The instructions said to put it 4 feet behind the ball and a couple feet forward from the ball. The driving range that I was at had those little platform kind of things with the turf. 4ish feet behind me was right on the edge of the platform, so I put it just off the platform. I also was the only one there, so I went dead center lined up with the flags at 50 yard intervals so I could compare what the phone was saying vs the yardage at the range.
Started with my 7 iron. It picked up every single ball I hit, but the numbers it was spitting at me were wayyyyyy off. It was spitting 115, 120, 118. I'm watching the ball land well past the 150 flag. Wtf?
Pull out my 5 wood. It's telling me in the 150s and I'm watching it land past the 200 marker. Something ain't right. Try my 9 iron which I'm planting them just barely past the 150 flag. Same thing. It's telling me 90's and 100.
I go back to reading the instructions and they are very stern on the 4 ft distance. Duh. That makes sense. The program is assuming it is a set distance from the ball and it's tracking the ball across the screen. If it's 5 ft away, yeah... it'll look like the ball is going slower. So I get it set up on the platform and go back to my 7 iron, and at this point I only have 6 balls left and I have to get back to work.
Here's what the 6 shots looked like:
I saw shot 4 land short of the 150 yd flag and all the other shots landed between the 150 and 200 yd flags.
These numbers look pretty darn close to what I was seeing with my eyes, so I'm really looking forward to getting back out there and giving this a go. Just gotta make sure I set it up right. I didn't try my driver nor my high loft clubs. I'm curious to see what they look like.

Love it... people, especially golf people, want to hold on so hard to things of yesteryear. Love to see that kind of response.
