right now, making my first hole-in-one is the last thing from my mind.
That’s why it’ll never happen. Every Par 3 you need to stand on that tee box and visualize the perfect shot before inevitably shanking it two holes over.
I've only been playing for 2 years. I'm still happy to make solid contact and hopefully choose the correct club.

I’m just happy to be on the green on a par three.

Here's a question:

If the pool noodle sticks out, or they leave the cup above the hole line (so any contact with the cup = holed), is a hole in one still a hole in one?

I have no angle, but am curious to hear what people think.
Jordan Spieth hit the spacer on one, and the ball ended up in the drink. He says he intends to count it as a hole in one.

So if it's good enough for a pro, then it's good enough for me.

I doubt I will have this dilemma to worry about any time soon.

I'm still waiting on my first and I'm going on 26 years of playing. Been within the leather 3 or 4 times but just haven't gotten that right roll. Then last Thursday, I'm playing a par 3 that I had played the previous day and came up woefully short of the bunker the fronts the green because I misjudged the wind. This time, instead of being into me, it was across. Committed to the same club as the day before and dropped it to less than 2 feet. Looked awfully freaking good from the tee and in the air. I was playing as a solo so that begs the question, if I had dropped it in there, how much noise would I have needed to make for someone to come out of their house or maybe the group in front of me to look to see what happened so it could be legit. I play a lot of solo golf so this dilemma is always in the back of my mind. But then, I've never holed out from anywhere outside of about 25 yards from the green so it's likely not something I need to worry about much.

If I was alone, you can bet your ass I would stand on the tee and yell until someone could come over and witness

Hit a hole in one about 6 years ago. 7 iron, 162 yards. The green sort of sloped down and away so it wasn’t a sure fire bet it was a HIO - maybe it just rolled off the back of the green. But I still did a somersault on the tee box just in case.

Much harder to achieve. I’ve only had a dozen or so eagle putts in my life and only sunk one.

Came about as close as I’ve ever come yesterday. 174 yard hole, ball mark was about 5 inches from the cup. Rolled to about five feet away. And I missed the birdie putt of course.

I went through a long bout of par 3 tee box yips that have thankfully been defeated, but I generally consider on the green on a par 3 a win. Got within a foot last year on #17 at Suncrest. Doubt I’ll ever get closer.

Whoa. $140 seems a bit high for their model with a lot of Odysseys under $200. But I am about due for a new putter

Missed one by about 8 inches today. Bounced beside the pin, hit the pin then landed less than two putter heads from the hole.

Played 9. First time out since October. Played like **** but snuck away with a 49. Left an eagle chance way short and ended up making par like a dingus.
