Today's back 9 -- 6 pars, 2 bogeys....and a 12. Nothing like taking a blowtorch to your round on the 15th hole.

If all things are right, I can work it about 260-270 but I'd say I average around the 250 mark. As long as I'm somewhere near that 150 post (and in the fairway) on my attempt into the green in regulation, I'm good with it.

Hah... That's my gauge. Just get as close to the white post as possible.

I’m 6’5” and athletic. My drive is typically 280. Sometimes I really get a hold of it and hit 310, but that’s very rare.

I almost always find that my game goes off the rails around 15 or 16. that's usually around the time when I start getting tired and my form goes to Hell.
my FIL plays at a course with only 14 holes. supposedly they just never bought the land for the additional 4 holes. I can see the value in that now.

I am golfing for only the second time this year (sad, so sad). It's a golf scramble with the guys and a couple gals from the NWS Mount Holly office. So yeah, this is right in my wheelhouse

I played in a mixed scramble on Monday for a charity work event. I'm a low 80s player, and our other guy was right a little better than me. Our 2 women were awesomesauce. Both said that they were mid 80s players from the whites, but per scramble rules played from the reds all day. They slayed. We all played really well (14-14 Fairways and 17-18 GIRs) but it was a tough course with really tough greens and pin placements. We finished at -7 and felt extremely good about it. Turned in our card and asked where we stood. Best score submitted to that point.

20 minutes later the last team turned in their card.........with a -14. We had seen them out on the course, and there is no way in hell they shot that. The one guy and gal on their team were borderline hammered. They got a plaque and each got a gift basket with lottery tickets, gift cards, golf balls, etc.. I mean, I got paid to play golf for a day...but it still chaps my behind that a group of someones would do that.

I'm seeing this more and more, winning scores are 16, 17 under. I just don't see it. A few courses I play often really placed their pins in the most difficult placements for the scrambles I play there... and people come in with birdie on nearly every hole.

If you run a scramble, draw a number out of a hat and whatever team finished there - they win.

Just have like 5 Marshall’s that will randomly watch a complete hole and have them sign off on their card once they finish that hole.

our local hockey league has a scramble every year and we've played the last 2 years. this past year the winner was something like -14. I know we've got some good golfers but I still call BS on that, especially with as hammered as these guys get.

best i have ever shot at a scramble was 59 at birds foot. it is unfathomable to me for someone to go much lower than that. every approach shot needs to be within 5 feet

Tony Romo a 2-under 70 in the first round of the Safeway. Might not be doing Bears-Vikings on Sunday if he can back that up tomorrow.

DA Points has courageously made his return from surgery and missed the cut at the Greenbrier and Houston Open. Even made the trip across the pond to to play the Dunhill and got cut there. There's a new medical exemption whipping boy that I will share with you when I find his name

David Berganio. This **** guy has been milking a medical exemption for like fifteen years. I guess there's some gamesmanship to it in that the old rules exemption pays like 120K a month and the new one is peanuts so somehow he's dragged it out since like 04 and plays an event or two a year

The best part of it is I'm pretty sure he's not even trying to start anything. He just doesn't give a ****
