Phil Mickelson bet more than $1 billion on football, basketball and baseball over the past three decades and even allegedly attempted to place a $400,000 wager on Team USA in the 2012 Ryder Cup in which he participated, according to an upcoming book by renowned professional gambler Billy Walters.

Excerpts of the book "Gambler: Secrets from a Life of Risk" were first reported Thursday by Fire Pit Collective and provide the most detailed look yet at Mickelson's sports gambling and his relationship with Walters, a Las Vegas businessman who is widely considered to be the most successful American bettor ever.

After Rory said that and walked off, he thanked the guy who asked the question to set him up by saying, 'I'm glad someone asked me that. I've been waiting to use that one all day."

Well with regards to betting, sounds like it wouldn't matter if Phil was in it or not

I’m not a huge fan of Rory but I’m not really sure I follow you. I just think he’s been waiting to dunk on Phil because of all the PGA/LIV bullshit

In two weeks, Glover goes from being somewhere in the low 100s to 4th in the standings. As well as gaining entry into all of the new designated events next year. Great timing to put together two consecutive wins for the first time.

Toddler jokes usually involve poop and are way funnier.

Had a great anniversary weekend. My wife asked for a massage and golf, so that was doable.
First course was Firekeeper in Mayetta, KS. Apparently a top 5 course in the state. It was in good shape, Fun enough course, lots of wildflowers in the natural areas and rabbits everywhere you looked. The highlight of the round was definitely standing in the middle of the fairway on the second, and trying to caddy for her and give her an aiming point.
Image
Natural areas on both sides of that front bunker that splits the fairway leading into a double bubble green. Best advice, "Don't hit it in the old sandy vagina" God I wish I'd taken a picture of that, because it can't be unseen.
Good enough course, but if it's in the top 5 there isn't a whole lot of above average courses in the state.
Then yesterday we played our "home" course, Adam's Pointe on our actual anniversary, just steps away from where our reception was. Funny enough we got about 1.25" of rain on our wedding day, and we easily beat that yesterday. We were probably the first on the course at 12:30 after the morning rain, so got to see plenty of turkey vultures, a young buck, and a doe and her two fawns. Made it through 7 before we got an additional 1.5" and we headed to the clubhouse for lunch. An hour later we were back out and the course drained amazingly so we were done with any standing water by 11 despite a light sprinkle.

Hard to ask for a better weekend.

Doesn't quite do it justice, since it gets shaggier in August, but a decent visual.

Thankfully, that dude won cuz his opponent was the college version of Shooter McGavin. Keep in mind that advancing to the final equals a Masters invite.

Scheffler, Fitzpatrick, Rory, Hovland, Homa and Schauffle all within 2 of the lead. Couldn’t ask for a better Sunday set-up

Great finish in Chicago. Scottie's putter cooling off again down the stretch.

Hovland birdies 17 and 18 to possibly clinch the tournament. Breaks the course record with a 61 and shoots 28 on the back. Eight threes and a four.

Unreal.

That is one of the best nines I've ever watched in golf. Just absolute mastery from Hovland

Played 7 rounds in 4 days. Got all 5 courses in, played Bandon Dunes twice and Pacific Dunes twice. Loved all 5 courses. The wind there is unreal. Bandon Trails and old Macdonald had really, really punishing greens. Ton of fun to play with a caddy, not so fun to walk 30k steps/day. Costs a lot to play and to get there, but everything else (dinner, lodging, etc) is reasonable. I struggled a bit (only 1 round counted for my handicap), but i would definitely go back.

My preference:

1. Bandon Dunes
2. Pacific Dunes
3. Sheep Ranch
4. Old McDonald
5. Bandon Trails

If i went back id play all 5 again though.
