I'm not expecting Pickett to play perfectly right out of the gate. There's learning to be had. I also don't expect our receivers to come down with every single 50:50 ball, but it sure would be nice if they did it from time to time.

Even if KFP doesn’t learn a thing, I still start him every day and twice on Sunday over Mitch.

Absolutely... Mitch has shown nothing to make me want to keep him in the starting spot. Give Kenny a full game to see what he can do.

Claypool is worthless.

Frieumuth could have had it, but it was a bad throw into traffic

The defense still gave up 14 points in the what? Last five minutes? Definitely on them, but they’re a loser right now, and a loser finds ways to lose

Up until the 4Q the Jets were 0/6 on third and long. Then they started giving up on third and long, and a fourth down.

the back shoulder pickens throw showed the difference in guts between the 2 qbs i think. and wow when he got off the throw across the middle while under instant pressure in his face. he's an instant upgrade

Yes. There's no doubt he looked more poised and comfortable in there.

It's also worth remembering that when the second pick was thrown there was only 3:40 to play, and the Steelers had the lead, the ball in Jets' territory (in field goal range), on a 2nd down.

That 2nd pick was really bad. Terrible decision, worse execution.

But I've taken dumps longer than his career at that point so it would have been nice to see this "renowned" defense pick him up

The 'renowned defense' had only given up 17 points at that stage. You should win a fair few more games than you lose if you hold a team to 17 points through 56 minutes of ball. (That says as much for the anemic offense as it does any defensive missteps, of course)

My gripe with this team (way more than any other I regularly watch) for about 7-8 years now has been abysmal tackling from 3rd level defenders. They all seem to go for the KO hit instead of the wrap up, and it seems as if they bounce off the bad guys as much as they stop them. (Other players do it, too, for sure, but it seems like a mild epidemic with the Steelers.) They get one or two of those wrap ups on the last Jets' poss, and maybe they don't choop it up and lose at home to the J-E-T-S.

Not that they deserve it but I'm really, really **** off that this team could pretty easily be 3-1 instead of 1-3. Pats and Jets should have been wins.

They really need to shitcan Gunner Olszewski. The Pats L is on him and he was a liability yesterday, again.

I just checked and his backup, Steven Sims, is injured. I hate this team.

Calvin Austin has to be coming back soon, and the second that happens Gunner should be cut.

The defense also blowing late quarter leads has been a thing as much as the offense sucking. You can't call yourselves elite, when you can't close out games.

For those you watch more attentively than me, how is Bush doing this year?
Better than expected imo
Wanted to revisit this real quick.

It seemed like last year Bush was still making a lot of the right reads and anticipating plays and putting himself in the right position to do something. But he'd just shoulder up with the dude who was blocking him and allow the play to roll right by, often within arms' reach; he just wasn't engaging. You could see the evidence of a good football player in some of his game, like he'd be really good in the first half of the down, and then become a spectator. I don't know if it was timidity because of the injury and rehab or what, but it was frustrating to watch.

This year, it seems like he's actually making those plays more often than not. I wouldn't say he's back to 1st round pick expectations level of play, but he has been markedly better this year so far. (Which honestly says as much about how poor his play was last year as it does how good it is this year) I wonder if the addition of a guy like Miles Jack in the LB room has had any impact on him; veteran guy with talent stunted by an injury history, yadda yadda etc and so on.

Might've been wearing a Claypool jersey and jumped for no reason.

IMO, some of the largest leaps with Bush might just be that he's more confident in his knee.

Pickens is the WR1 on this team.
