God damn that targeting to the Tenn QBs face looked like it hurt when they showed it in slow motion.

I think rushing the field is dumb; but Tennessee at least made the most of it.

Hard to call this USC Utah game a banger because of the massive volume of flags.

But still a good college football game

Despite the performance put on by my stupid team today, it was a pretty fun college football Saturday.

The other subtle parts of that clip (that are highlighted in the comments) are what make it so great. The Bama lineman's reaction is so good

I think rushing the field is dumb; but Tennessee at least made the most of it.
The Southeastern Conference hit the university with a $100,000 fine for violating the SEC's "access to competition area policy," citing the imperative for schools to ensure the safety of their fans and players.

Tennessee's athletic department seems to be taking that fine in stride — but after the win and celebration, it issued a call for help in paying for new goal posts for Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. It's seeking as much as $150,000 for that work.

The call for donations — from a school paying its coach $5 million annually, and after a nationally televised game viewed by millions on CBS — came despite UT President Randy Boyd saying amid the euphoria that "It doesn't matter" how much it costs to replace goal posts, if it comes with beating Alabama.

It's funny how everyone is raising their eyebrows at the Tennessee fundraising effort and saying it's for the goalposts. I think this is a pretty savvy move by the athletic foundation people to capitalize on the big win and get into donors' wallets ASAP.

Providence actually calls to fundraise during basketball games.
“We’re on a 12-0 run against New Hampshire! Did you know that just $12 a month can fund a tape job for the entire team’s ankles? Donate!”

I keep waiting for Cuse to remember they’re a basketball school but they sure seemed for real in that first half.
