Now let's get Allar some bowl game experience.

Franklin calls a timeout. Utah fans boo. Franklin claps in their direction and yells “Boo hoo, f*ckers!”

That’s a wrap on a disappointingly awesome season.

Couldn’t beat osu or Michigan (again…), but if you told me a rose bowl W was on the agenda for the year when it started, I’d have been excited.

That was an old fashioned beat down. What an end to a very unexpected season. This program hinges on Allar next year.

Amen to that. 11 wins was light years from my mind on September 1. I think we saw something important this season that gives me a glimmer of hope that Franklin has seen the light. In past years, they implode after losing a game like OSU. They didn’t lose their 1 ‘Franklin’ game this year. They also didn’t stop being aggressive while leading big like they have in the past and thus allowing comebacks. This very much could be the springboard game much like how the 1993 bowl win over Tennessee propelled the 94 team.

As for this game, Singleton continues the tradition that Ki-Jana started and Saquon added to with long Rose Bowl TD runs. This was Clifford’s best game in a longgggg time and vindicated himself from the heaps of criticism he’s received the last 3-4 seasons. KLS’s TD was the 4th longest by air in school history. To me, the play of the game was when it was 21-14 and Rising was out, Utah had ball near midfield after 2 decent runs. They were gashing us pretty good on the ground. On first down, they elect to throw and Barnes gets sacked. From that time on, Utah’s gameplan was shot and the D took over.

Well, look who's up next on the schedule, our old friends from the eastern football independent days, the West Virginia Moun Tin Ears. 42-6-1 against the Hoopies, last played in 1992. Unless Major Harris is coming back, should be able to handle them. First big test is starting conference play on the road (as usual) at Illinois. Big game.

We lose lil J Peezy, Washington and Brown, but in general it feels like we go into 2023 in pretty good shape. Love the RBs and if Allar is something special, sky's the limit.

Extremely successful season. Basically the peak of a Penn State season until they break down that final wall of getting to the CFP

Last observation, after bemoaning for years that we never ran plays under center, I love that the wing T was a not insignificant part of this win.
