It appears the hurricane rain is coming tomorrow. Sweet. My prediction is revised to the following
Pitt - 27
GT - 10
Pitt - 27

Rain is supposed to pick up tomorrow evening. That should play well into Pitt's plan & GT's weaknesses. I don't know if Pitt covers with the weather being what it will be, but there's really no reason why they shouldn't win this one.
Peak posted something to PL the other day that I found interesting. Pitt RBs this year have a combined 142 carries and have lost just 16 yards. That's impressive in its own right but even more when you figure that 1) they've been without their best "road grader" back in Hammond for three full games, and 2) with the issues/injuries at QB, opposing defenses have spent the last 2.5 games keying on the run.
We still have no idea how good the passing game really is. Injuries at QB and coaching torched any real chance to get the passing game going against WMU and Rhode Island. I get protecting Yarnell and you can't argue with the results because they won each of those games. That said, until Pitt gets a few more players back on offense and we see more from the passing game, I'm getting "2018 offense revolving largely around Ollison and Hall for entire games" vibes from this group. That's not necessarily been a bad thing. It's mostly worked so far. Once Hammond gets back, they honestly have a great duo to rely on there.
But they really do need this passing game to become...I don't know, SOMETHING over these next few weeks if they want to win the Coastal. Means has been horribly inconsistent. Mumpfield has been OK at best. I think he's struggled making the jump from MAC to P5, and that's not going to get any easier for him but I do think there's something there with him and he still capable of having a good year. If Wayne is healthy, that will help. In Bartholomew's absence, maybe they have something with Karter Johnson, or maybe one of the other 5-8 TEs on the roster that we've never heard anything about emerges.
One more complaint about the passing game. I'm not sure what to think of Bradley and Barden. Bradley replaced Means for stretches at a time but didn't make much of the opportunities he was given. I'd really love to know why Barden isn't getting on the field at all. I know the passing attack these last two games has been almost non-existent by design so that hasn't helped either of them but still, holy crap.
I hate to sound like I'm complaining. They're 3-1 despite some very awful injury issues and some obvious holes on both sides of the ball. The Coastal once again appears very winnable, which is why I hope they don't waste these GT, VT and UNC games that are in front of them.

So surprising to see a Narduzzi team be unprepared for the task ahead.
