Stayed Friday night in hotel about 45 minutes away in battle Creek. Went for a bike ride on the Kalamazoo River Valley trail. That was fun and neat. Went into town for lunch. Kalamazoo was OK, not interesting but not bad either. Definitely made some effort into making downtown nice, but it's facing the same headwinds as every other place in America. Went to a brewery, it was good. Kind of a dead vibe though. Saw maybe 5 pitt fans during the day before the game and about the same number of directional Michigan fans. So that makes it a drag.

Stadium and campus.....take it or leave it.

I'm glad I went. But its not somewhere I'd love to go again. When we went to Knoxville and Greenville, I had an assload of fun and thought to myself "I could definitely live here". Not so much w Kalamazoo

I sat next to Yarnell's mom during the game, so we were chatting it up. She was a nervous wreck.
that sounds fun! especially with how well he did

After his first deep pass hit to Wayne, she started to calm down, and then by the 4th quarter when they started to run and pull away, she was high fiving us and was really excited.

Much like Kenny, I agree in that I'm glad I made the trip, but even if I spent the weekend and went with my buddies, it wouldn't have compared to Clemson, Knoxville, or pretty much any other road trip I've been on for Pitt. And I've done like 30 of them. It wasn't bad, but it would have been pretty boring overall.

It was your typical MAC stadium.

That was my third MAC road trip. Nicer than glass bowl. Not as nice as whatever the new Akron stadium is named.

That was my third as well. Been to Ohio U, Akron and Western Michigan. I'd say it was in the middle of those two as well. My road trips in no particular order are now:

ACC
Syracuse
Virginia Tech
Virginia
NC State
Wake Forest
Georgia Tech
Clemson
Louisville

BIG
PSU
Michigan State
Iowa

BIG XII

West Virginia

SEC
Tennessee

AAC
USF
Temple
Navy

MAC
Ohio U
Western Michigan
Akron

Indy
Notre Dame

Been to a few of those places more than once and also have been to a few bowl games.

Izzy returning kicks at all is stupid let alone against Rhode Island in what should be a blowout if our defense didn't suck

Heavy dose of Izzy this game. Basically no pass game beyond 5 yards. Tons of swing out short passes to the wideouts. Don't think they took a single shot down field until this last drive, but I missed a bit doing yard work.

They are going to win but it's been ugly.

Duzz approaches these games the same way every year. Shame on all of us for not betting RI and the points (if you didn't)

Is this a new thing in CF, waiting until a week before the game to announce times? I am taking my kids to the VT game, but if it's at 8PM not sure they'll last beyond the first quarter. Can't plan for anything with this BS scheduling.

When TV is paying you hundrends of millions of $$$$, they pretty much control everything.

it's new for Pitt mostly. ESPN can choose to wait until Sunday to announce for a select amount of games so they can have the games lined up how they'd like

also Pitt may or may not be that good, but dropping 8 spots from the preseason ranking with one loss to the #8 team in OT with a backup QB is some BS imo. If they were in the SEC they'd comfortably be in the top 20

Seems like more than half of the CFF games next Saturday are TBD. How many games are on ESPN?

Don't care too much about Pitt's ranking. They haven't really looked dominant, so they're probably where they need to be. And lol @ Miami.

Don't know if you guys are on pantherlair or not, but for years, people complained that they wanted night games, and the noon/1pm kickoffs sucked, and 3:30 wasn't even that great, although better than 1. And now we get a night game that is not Thursday night, and now everyone is pissed.

Not directing that at either of you guys or anyone, just funny how things change.
