In the voice of the late, great R. Lee Ermey, addressed to the Pittsburgh Panthers:

What is this Mickey Mouse s**t? What in the name of Jesus H. Christ are you animals doing on my field? Why is a MAC team out of its bunk after lights-out? Why is Private Western Michigan within a single score? Why aren't you stomping Private Western Michigan's guts out?

I know we're dealing with a team of scrubs here, but Yarnell throws a better looking ball than Slovis or Patti.

I was tempted to play the game "drink on every pitt runs on first down" but decided against it. Probably a good idea because if I did partake in such a game, I'd be drunk enough to stumble in front of the Amtrak train that rolled past waldo stadium in the third quarter

Fellas we are a quarter through the season. Is pitt good? Anything can happen in the wild ass coastal but this isn't a good pitt team. I don't think the defense is better than last year. And this team has had a ton of injuries

Not particularly good but most college football teams aren't good so I'm not sure how much it matters.

The coastal sucks so Pitt is ok by default.

I just think the injuries are killing us.

But time will tell if we are good or not.

Temple did not get a lot of run against wmu. Did see the west Mifflin guy in during mop up time

Your eyes deceive you because Johnson isn't credited with any playing time this season. Temple, who I swear I saw on the field at some point, is also listed as an empty for WMU. Dorien Ford, Elliot Donald, and Sean FitzSimmons also remain without an appearance. With the injuries piling up and Rhode Island being Rhode Island, I wonder if they get some run out this week. We're still deep as hell on the line, but I hate to see promising underclassmen rot on the bench, get fed up, and transfer elsewhere, especially with all of the line starters except Kancey moving on after this season.

Johnson wears #4 and was on the field for Wmu's last drive. I agree that temple at least was on the field at some point, too.

Nard Dogg on Jim Rome today. He made a good point re Yarnell. It was the first week he actually ever ran Pitts offense. He was running scout team the first two weeks. Gameplan seems to make some more sense considering that lol

I mean, on top of that, the kid has not played in competition for 3 years. I had no problem with the game plan at Western Michigan, considering would should have beat them the way we did. As the game went on in the middle two quarters, they allowed him to open it up a little bit. And at the end, they couldn't stop the run what so ever, so why deviate from that?

I went up with my family instead of having a guys trip and we didn't head out until Saturday around lunch, so we got up there about an hour before the game. We planned it that way.

I didn't get to go around the area, so maybe the surrounding area was nicer, but it felt like the stadium sat down in the middle of Turtle Creek or something. It was your typical MAC stadium. The fans we sat around though were extremely nice and welcoming. I sat next to Yarnell's mom during the game, so we were chatting it up. She was a nervous wreck.

Pretty much all the students left in the 3rd quarter, so that one side of the stadium was pretty much empty. And it was still while the game was close.

We just went to the hotel after the game because the kids were tired, and so was I. So outside of the game itself, we didn't really do much in the area.
