8 somehow, but yea as soon as Xavier started cooking Pitt (Burton, Hinson, and Nike primarily) resorted to 1 on 1 play and stopped moving the ball around. Way too many contested shots followed up by missed bunnies. Burton has been absolutely awful but has taken almost 30% of our shots.

They take too many mid range jumpers. It can’t be your bread and butter. Either you’re a 3 point team or a paint team.

100% agree with this. The framework is there to be even better next. The twins are good and getting better and can be major matchup issues in the college game.

that's kind of a byproduct of your top two big men going into the season not being available right now and the next two being 140 lb bean pole 18 year olds

1) Great season for the MBB team. Hopefully this is just the start of something. Not expecting them to be Final Four caliber anytime soon, but hopefully this is the springboard to stablize the program and keep it an NCAA tourney regular again.

2) Bonicorsi (sp?) with the national championship for in wrestling over the weekend, first Pitt wrestler to win one since 2008. Congrats!

Down in charlotte for work. There was some casual NC college conversations, and a woman mentioned she’s a wake forest fan. Made her face turn by asking what she thought about the fake slide. They are still salty about it. That made me happy

Down in charlotte for work. There was some casual NC college conversations, and a woman mentioned she’s a wake forest fan. Made her face turn by asking what she thought about the fake slide. They are still salty about it. That made me happy

Yes. Yes they are. We have a few hospitals in the Winston-Salem market and I get comments about the Pitt stuff in the background when my camera is on with them. So bitter

In my experience living down here, it won’t. Pitt gear riles up Wake and Clemson fans. Not much from NC State, UNC or Duke folks

meh. I don't know. They should still be ranked, and higher than the 20s, but top 5? They haven't finished that in the NCAA tourney since 1963. You have the Okie States, PSUs, Iowas, etc of the world that will still remain up there.

the top 5 in any given year lately has been

iowa
UPS
OSU
NCST/OKST/AZST/Cornell/random big ten or big twelve team

with a big gap between the top 2 to the top 5, then then between the top 4-5 and everyone else.

No reason Pitt with these facilities and in the best recruiting area in the country shouldn't be in the top tier

Trib reporting that some sportsbook has the opening over under for wins at 6.5 for super Panthers football. Seems suspiciously low
