I decided to go to bed at halftime for that reason NAN. I was either going to be up all night excited because of the adrenaline if they won, or pissed that they blew it and wonder if it really was a good season. I was even afraid to refresh my phone to see the final score when I woke up. When I saw the final and looked at the last few plays, my decision last night was justified.

Well yeah, but there were other factors I didn't mention. Had to get up early today since we have only 1 car, I don't have cable and didn't feel like finding a stream, yesterday was just a super busy, tiring day. My Pitt cred took a hit, but not like that's buying me anything other than my position in this thread. Which is already in terrible condition anyway.

I'm just going to go with Pitt planned that on purpose to exploit Miss St weakness (3pt shooting) to cover their strength (inside game). That is what I'm telling myself.

Our CTO is a huge pitt goober. He was the head nerd for the pitt band when he was there. He was sure to show everyone at our company (largely psu fans due to location) his bracket that has pitt beating psu. To which everyone responded pretty much the same way: “okay…?”

Have to limit the turnovers today. If they can do that, there's a good chance they win. Iowa State is touted for their defense. Looking at their schedule, their numbers may have been inflated by early non-conference schedule. Gave up 39 to IUPUI, 43 to NC AT&T, 53 to Milwaukee, 44 to North Dakota, 40 to McNeese.

Recently they've had good defensive games, but also had some bad ones. Sure, tougher teams, but their numbers are inflated.

If you assume they have Baylor's number for some reason (beat them 3 times this year) and erase their two most recent wins against them, they haven't won against another team since Feb 15th.

Not saying it's a slam dunk, but this game is winnable. Pitt needs to play as the underdog they are and play a mistake free game. Of course the Pitt fan in me expects them to Pitt the bed, so I just wasted my time looking up these stats and giving myself hope that they may win.
