MTOP ⛳️: if you could wish yourself to be a pro in any sport, which would it be?

Postby willeyeam » Thu Jun 16, 2022 9:19 am

I know baseball seems like a non strenuous sport but just the schedule of it is a non starter for me in this hypothetical. Gonna pass on having a game every day for half the year

I was golf for the longest time until I heard an interview from somebody trying to work up the ranks to the pro tour. Uh uh, nope. Now if it's one of these "whoa, I know jujitsu" type of downloads, then sure, golf.

Dan Vogelbach seems to make it work.

If that guy is a professional athlete, then anyone can be.

I still voted hockey. It's the sport I'm best least worst at...and it would allow me an easy transition into hockey ops...

I considered golf for my answer but as long as the players have to walk the entire course 4 days in a row, not including practice rounds? hard pass.

Really? If I had a caddy, walking the course would be one of the perks.

I walked Lancaster with a caddie last week and it was glorious. That's a perk

Worst case you are John Daly and you get to ride in a cart. Not a bad worst case scenario

Video poker is my go to. Playing the odds right generally pays out for me more often than not.

Will also play video blackjack, regular blackjack if I can guarantee I'm with friends and no one takes it seriously. Threw slots up for the 3rd because I can't say I've done much else. Not a huge casino kid.

My three favorite things to do in a casino:

1. Stop.
2. Turn around.
3. Walk back out of whatever door I must have used to accidentally enter the casino.

Hookers, cocaine and blackjack
I like the choices...I'm just not sure what the best order would be. Or is this an all 3 at once type of deal? 'Hit me' could mean...several things.

Blackjack and 3 card poker are really my only two. I'll do a slot on the way out. Sports betting - meh can just do on the phone. More fun at the big books in Vegas. Craps is a blast when I can get a refresher and remember how to play. One time in vegas like 8 of us went to an empty table in the morning and they showed us the ropes, it was a great time. It's intimidating walking up to a full craps table and trying to remember it all

Craps, roulette, blackjack are where it's at...

Slots, video poker, keno are for grandmothers that hate money...
