Also, why is Joe block always so surprised when a pirates batted ball goes over the fence? It's almost like he never has any idea how far a ball might go after contact is made

DK is such a dramatic baby. It's not good for the pitcher, but it's probably not abuse. The pitcher could simply...pitch better.

It should take effort to be the most dramatic pissbaby in Pittsburgh sports media but it really just seems to come naturally to him.

Greg Brown was prepared to file charges against Shelton and MLB. His silent dramatics are hilarious and honestly enjoyable but he worked the scenario up so much i expected Shelton to give the drenched Vieaux a splashing hug when he got off the field. And i loved hearing that apparently Walk was having so much difficulty explaining the 4 out rule that he started yelling at Brown and has to apologize later. Those 2 are also hilarious together. I bet Walk has had to apologize to Brown 50 times over the years. This was basically the first full game i watched all year lol. Was pretty awesome. I was rolling my eyes the day before when Brown kept billing the cy young winner vs our spunky rookie as a landmark faceoff. But i also thought well maybe

Here's a common scenario. Brown sees something obvious but instead of offering his opinion decides to get Walk, the former player, to confirm his opinion by asking him a leading question. It's sort of pretentiously humble by Brown. So he'll say Bob why do you think he made the choice to throw to first there. And Bob caught in Dreamland or something goes into a convoluted explanation of why it was hard to get the out at first. Brown frustrated says why didn't he throw to second! Walk angry at his frustration says that's what I'm saying! And proceeds to not explain it again but with many words until he eventually sees the replay enough to see what Brown was getting at and then tries to work his former explanations into agreeing with Brown who let's him flail by being awkwardly silent.

Happened again when Brown was trying to get Walk to say a position player would be better off lobbing the ball in rather than throwing straight batting practice

Now, now, let's give the current management a few more years. You guys have waited long enough.

A few more years to ruin his swing and his pitch mechanics?

I'm not sure why you follow this thread given your attitude. If I felt the way you do I'd have stopped long ago.

I'm in the 5th and great slow motion footage of Vogelbach huffing and puffing to score. He can hit.
