Gorski is a weird one for me. 2nd rounder in 2019, but out of college so already 21.

Was he a casualty of the 2020 lost season? Started in A+ at 23 but that was his first taste of pro ball. Not sure why they started him in A+ again this year but he obviously was too good for it. Kicking ass in AA.

Hes probably real enough to get a 40 man spot.

Here's the thing with the 40 man this year - they needed spots for "bodies" aka guys to throw in to the MLB lineup from april-june so as not to rush prospects up. But now that some of the young guys have broken through, it kind of eliminates the need for all that roster fodder

That makes sense. But I'll still be anxious until it happens

The 5th spot in the rotation is wide open right now, would like to see this opportunity snagged by yajure.

Vanmeter boots an easy ground ball right at him

Doesn't explain why Yajure was so late on that though.

After watching 1 inning of Yajure pitch. Dude can go away, junk ball thrower with no control

Probably because he didn't think he had to cover for a ball right at the 1B. I think Vanmeter was too deep

The Pirates starting pitchers have a combined 6 wins. Some people are saying that's not good

Somehow they are 26th in WAR. How bad is the starting pitching in Oakland Chicago Washington and KC?

The rotation has been pretty steady since they dumped the Wilson/Peters piggyback thing, moved Roansy in and Keller returned.

Quintana and Brubaker have deserved more than their 2 combined wins in 29 starts, but we don't need to get into the shortcomings elsewhere that prevent the team from actually winning games.

Reynolds with a 3HR game. Glad the Pirates dicked him around.

If I did the math right, 7.7 percent of the pirates home runs came in the form of 3 home run games
