Good stuff. I would suggest sitting in on all the classes and really trying to take what the coach is saying and translate/reinforce it at home.
Exactly what I plan on doing. I figure it can only help to continue to reinforce the same teachings at home. The instructor really has a way of connecting with the kids. He was serious, but also used humor to get his point across, and you could tell that everyone bought into what he was saying.

In between certain moves, he would yell out "NOW FLOSS", and the entire class started doing that floss dance. It was hilarious.

Edit: This was during calisthenics, so there was an actual purpose to it, FWIW.

My daughter was looking around like, 'wtf are these kids doing?!', because she has no idea what that dance was.

I can relate. We do wax on and wax off in class and I always have the biggest grin on my face, it's terrific. I alsoI put on Bloodsport montage music at the house before class to get pumped up.

Speaking of Bloodsport, when my daughter was speaking with the instructor before class, she asked if anyone was going to hit or kick her. I told her it wasn't Kumite, and apparently only the instructor and I knew what I meant because we were the only ones laughing.

I don’t know about you, but I hear that wave of music as well.

mini meow insists on bowing to mrs meow before we leave and he doesn’t always keep eye contact, so she slaps his head and says “eye! always watch eye!”

I think it looks ridiculous, but everyone seemed to love it. I can let it slide in this scenario. Honestly, I was more worried about my daughter taking this as a sign to just start dancing like she does at home, lol.

Gotta love it when you get up for the day and check your fitbit to see what your sleep looked like and your fitbit laughs at you.

I just spent $13 on a 8" styrofoam ball that will have a quarter of it cut out, and hollowed out for a science project. AMA.

I'm in a little bit of a dilemma with mini meow and karate. They do a ton of work with partners. Lots of groundwork and grappling. He is paired with one of two kids fairly consistently. Well he absolutely dummies these kids. Like, hip tosses them into oblivion. mrs. meow wants me to tell him to chill out and not go so hard - to which my response was "**** that." I want to talk to the coach about pairing him with someone a little more his ability level. They are paired by age/size now.
