We had a thumb sucker and a paci main. No issues weaning either off thumb or paci. The 16-year-old, when he's tired or comfy on the couch watching a movie, will absentmindedly pop his thumb in his mouth if no one's looking. We were always the ol' wives tale that thumb suckers would have an overbite, but he doesn't need braces (#blessed) but his paci enthusiast brother (who was weaned easily when he was not quite 2) has braces. Who knows what it all means.

At least when it's over, getting snipped will look like one of life's best decisions.

Despite the overcast and at times rainy weather, Hershey Park was fun. I was incredibly surprised at the speed at which one of the water slides propelled the raft at. It was insane. I thought it was my daughter was screaming bloody murder down the hills, but it turned out to be my wife.

We went to delgrosso’s today…formerly known as Bland’s park. It was great. The only unfortunate part is that my daughter wanted to ride quite a few rides that require 42” in height. She’s like 41.8” tall. They brought out the clipboard to measure against the wall a couple times and she was juuuusssssssst shy.

We were going to go there today too, but were a little unsure about potential rain. I think we'll try to hit it next week.

It was great. Everyone must have been worried about the rain as the place was empty. There was a sight downpour around 2:30 or so. Beyond that, the weather was fine.

Ha. They are usually pretty good here, but we usually have one or two at a time for a night...having all 4 for two nights is a first.

I miss Delgrosso's. Do they still have the old Space Odyssey ride? I remember the black lights and posters inside and you always got to ride for two songs. "I've been thinking about you" and "Unbelievable" will forever be associated with that ride from my childhood.

Dutch Wonderland imo. We have season passes. It's super easy to get in and out and it's a really nice park. Nice water area too that isn't mobbed like Hershey. Not as big but that's fine.

Thinking of going Sunday of labor day weekend. I hope it's not insanity there.

Honestly, even busy days aren't terrible there. Arrive 20 minutes before open.

I’ve mentioned our one piece of **** neighbor who yells at all of the kids before. Last time, we got into it. He asked my other neighbor - who we’re good friends with - if he thought it was weird that I always hang out on their street with all of the kids, like a - and I quote - “groomer”. He wonders if it’s weird that I bring my daughter over there to play with her friends. While he stands in the street by himself playing with a hockey stick watching everyone else. Okay.

Not that I recall. They have a list of rides on their website.

Unless you are in one of those hoity toity burbs that can afford lights.
So, the last half hour of each practice is a scrimmage against the U11 team, which the kids all go nuts about.

Confirmed that the lights do work. Today, there has been a massive (18”+ tall) white tailed hawk watching them from atop a light. He has been there for nearly an hour and a half now. Just watching. Waiting.

We made it through. Was exhausted last night after a full 48 hours +. They were well behaved but just so much energy.

We spent 6 hours at the zoo Saturday along with everyone else in Pittsburgh. Then lots of board games and video games and card games....and Minnie's boutique on Disney plus...over and over and over

Them to the park and back home and back to the park. More games. Lots of pizza and junk food all weekend. Busted out the popcorn machine for movie night. Still need to clean it out lol.

Love all four of them dearly but very glad we don't have to deal with them every day lol. 48 hours is about the max.

So much energy they all have. So so so much.
