 At the same time though, why does it bother you? I'm not a matching shirt guy but I see TONS of them there. Most are the same old "insert family name 2020 Disney Vacation!" but some are clever and get a chuckle out of me. And I wouldn't at all be surprised if the CMs give the clever ones a special "magical moment."

I just don't think it's original or genuine, like it's designed to be put on social media for likes and retweets.

I don't think I could do Disney more than once a year, tbh. Maybe if we lived in Florida, I could do a day at Epcot or something. I have a co-worker that grew up in Kissimmee and had her senior prom at one of the resorts there. That would've been cool. Most locals have Florida resident annual passes, and she said they would all go hang out there or go on dates like high school kids go to the mall. That's interesting.

I think part of the matching shirts thing is being able to find each other in a crowd, but I’m just practical like that.

I lost sight of my daughter for about ten seconds at Disney last year and it was an immediate rush of panic and adrenaline.

Yeah, can't say it was the same for me. LOL
We were travelling as an extended family, so about 12-13 of us. Took a bathroom break in Harry Potter world, saw her come out and wait for the rest of the group, but when we went up the hill to get on the ride she apparently had gotten sucked in to looking at the window displays and got left behind.

We we literally standing in line when the phone rang because she'd found an employee and told them our cell phone #. It was that point that we all did the Home Alone "I thought (s)he was with you!" bit.

That was about day 6 of the trip, and I swear we had all been obsessive about making sure everybody was together. It just takes 1 time.

That's a very smart and aware 9 year old you have there. Nicely done, kid.

At taekwondo, and one of the boys in the class is at volume level 6 million. Scaring the **** out of the new, younger kids, and I can tell others don’t like it. Kinda wish the instructor would **** say something here.

My ears were ringing so I left the room and went into another room. Not one minute layer another two parents followed and commented on the noise, lol.

This baseball season is already off to an annoying start and we haven't even had tryouts yet.

The city rec is run by an incompetent who can't read a weather report and keeps scheduling tryouts/team selection for days it specifically says it's going to rain.

Anyone ever have to have your kid’s dentist use oral conscious sedation before? My daughter has a small cavity on a molar (came in that way), and absolutely refused to open her mouth at the dentist today despite getting laughing gas. I refuse to go the anesthesia route because I believe that’s too much a risk for the procedure.
New visit was able to put some sort of coating on one tooth that they said would be just like a filling, and then my daughter refused to let them do the second tooth. So four dental visits for this bullshit. All candy is being thrown out when I get home, and that's the end of it.

been there, luckily our instructor has zero tolerance for kids BS. On the other hand, we do have an adult that I spar with on occasion and he may be on the spectrum and he goes full on combat nobody what. It's basically like being in a street fight during class and no matter how many times it's brought up, nothing gets done...

Daughter woke up with sore throat, which is fan **** tastic. I swear nobody in this household can catch a break with being sick. She has swim class this afternoon, and is being tested for her final level - all she needs to do is complete the 4-minute endurance swim. I'm torn on whether or not to cancel class today and go for it next weekend, even though she wants to go.

Does anyone have any recommendations/advice regarding a first pair of ice skates for a 2-3 year-old?

Rent.

I wish I could just rent the sh*t that she’s going to grow out of in 6 months. Like winter coats at this point are just disposable. I buy the $20 ones at Walmart when they’re on sale.

The only down side to renting IMO is the blades are almost always dull and that hurts them when learning to skate.

My suggestion is try play it again sports.
