Congrats! I was pretty indifferent of daughter vs son, but after almost 2 years of having a daughter, I couldn't imagine any other life. I was definitely meant to be a girl's dad.

Congrats dude. I know it is a pretty well circulated saying that young girls are easier than young boys. I am definitely in that camp. Little girls are a breeze compared to boys.

Daughter #2 had a blast at 4-H today. It's fun watching your kids have fun.

I am now a proud papa of a baby girl. Adeline Eve was born at 1:13 AM this morning.

Man I think I’m going to love having a daughter
Congrats! Being the dad of a sweet little girl is the best thing ever.

No strep throat for my daughter (per the rapid test), but the doc put her on meds until the culture comes back on Friday.

Luckily it hasn't been too bad here. Little bit of a fever, wife stayed home with him today. He's eating and not overly whiny. The antibiotics and rotating motrin/Tylenol seem to be doing the trick.

My household has been like the Penguins roster for the past 3 months. At least one person has been sick during that time, and we seem to be rotating. Here's hoping that February's better.

My son didn't get it, but I had it last week and it was awful. I've been sick every week since Christmas, and my son has been unscathed for the most part.

The move from infant to toddler room has been brutal on my health.

Next week we start in the toddler room. Thanks for getting me even more excited.

What do your daycares define the rooms as?

Ours has Infant: 0-1 (split into 3 rooms by age)
Mobile infant: 1-2 (split into 2 groups by age)
Toddler: 2-3
Preschool: 3-4
Pre-K: 4-5

I only ask, because I know Mork's kid is younger than mine, and mine is in the "Mobile Infant" group.

That's pretty much on par with our daycare. They didn't strictly follow the age, but used the child's development.

Mobile infant is just called Toddler room I believe in our daycare. He's not totally mobile yet, but he's with kids that can walk and move fast - which has seemed to help him development wise.

Ah, I see.

Yeah, I've noticed a touch of a lull my my kiddo's development now that she's one of the oldest in the classroom. Luckily she gets moved up here soon and will have to be fighting to catch up with everyone.

Pretty sure ours is the same just mobile infant=young toddler. And I dont think there are enough kids to split them up. There are probably only 8=10 kids within a year of him

And the day that I say this, daycare asked if they could start the transition up with the two year olds. She turns two in April.

I do think it has more to do with the number of kids than their development, at least in my opinion/experience

Our son moving up had to do with spots. They would have moved him up a month and a half early but they didn’t have a spot until almost a month after he turned two.

My wife is taking both kids up to New York to her in-laws 2/15-2/17...she was adamant that she wanted to give me a weekend off. I have to stop out to Lancaster briefly Saturday morning for a work-related deal anyway. Still, it is going to be reaaaaaalllly weird. I can't even remember the last time I was home alone on a weekend. Part of me is excited but part of me is worried that I will start to get really lonely like an hour in.

If this was ten years ago, I would have been drinking and playing FIFA the second the car pulled out of the driveway

My daughter’s throat culture came back positive for strep. Good thing the doc started her on meds.
