Oh The Places You’ll Go might be the best kids book ever.

Green Eggs and Ham might be the most overrated. Seriously, it's the book that never ends.

I read to my daughter's class last year and made the mistake of picking that book. Once I sat down in front of a bunch of 3 year olds, I realized that the book was like 90 pages. I found myself desperately skipping pages on the sly, as I could see their attention spans quickly flitting away.

The Cat in the Hat is also longer than it should be. These mistakes are why Pete the Cat needs to exist in the first place. Don’t got time for a 30 minute bed time.

I also recommend the Care Bears books from the 80's. They're like 5 pages long, which is great for when you just need to cut things short one night.

I used to love Where the Wild Things Are. I know we have it, but I honestly can't recall the last time we read it to my daughter.

Mini meow needs a book that has cadence too it. He is much more interested in those books rather than a story book

In the 10 seconds the radio was on in the car before the Moana CD started my kids got to hear about breast augmentation. That was not the easiest conversation to pivot out of...

Took our daughter to Great Wolf Lodge yesterday. It was our third time up there...I enjoy going up there, but man, they basically print their own money.

My wife has wanted to do this for a while. Money printing aside, you endorse?

It's a fun time. Our daughter is four and, because she's over 42", and go on all of the slides save for like two. They have some fun tube slides that go through tunnels, and a family one that you all sit in one big tube can go down a huge pipe. They also have a really nice kid's area with smaller slides that parents can chill down at the bottom. The wave pool is nice too.

I recommend bringing lots of snacks rather than buying them there (I'm sure you would anyway). Also, buying the pass is a must for your kid(s), because they will likely want to do most of the activities involved anyway. You can do it all in one day, but two nights would be more relaxing. I would also go during the week if that is an option...much less crowded. That's why we like Sunday night.
