My oldest was born 11/12/13. If he had waited 4 more minutes, he would have been born at 11:12 PM. Very impatient little bugger.

My wife is all about 11/8/18. I'm telling her she's going to be induced on 11/8 and he won't actually be born until 11/9.

Our daughter ended up coming a week or so early, and now shares a birthday with my mom. Worked out nicely, especially because neither of us wanted a Christmas baby.

Daycare lady: "Little c2i was being pretty sassy today..."
Me: "Oh? What does that mean?"
Daycare lady: "She just keeps all the other kids in her classroom in line."

I still don't know what that means. She's 7 months old. How can she keep other kids in line?

Just wait until you get called into the office because your daughter is pulling boy's pants down at school :face:

lol. Oh boy. I really had no idea what to say, so I just laughed and said "she gets that from her mom..." and went on my way.

Who's on #teamMac here?

Shoes on a kid too young to even walk are pointless.

Co-sign.

I also get annoyed at footwear choices. When we were at Disney, we saw a couple of parents with four children under 6. They were letting their children run amok in line while they took glamour shots for Instagram. The guy was clearly a bro, he had a damned farmer hat for God's sake.

In any event, all four of their kids were wearing flip-flops. Look, our daughter wears water shoes whenever we are at the beach, but walking around Disney all day? The ****? My wife's family has a history of foot issues, so I am more attuned to this stuff than I used to be. That is a surefire way to wreck your kid's feet for life.

absolutely pointless.... my little one started standing on her own for a second or two and is pulling herself up on furniture to standing, so I got her a pair of shoes. They were $6, so now we have them for when we need them.

I just spent 30 minutes looking through the "top gift" lists for 2018, and found maybe 2-3 things that I think my daughter might like. There's so much garbage out there these days.

Watching the commercials on Nick Jr, etc. is painful. The fact that there is a toy brand called "LOL" makes me want to blow my brains out.

One of the things we really enjoy doing with our daughter is playing Mario Party on the Wii--she's five, so she doesn't have the skillz to win all of the mini games and whatnot, but her grasp of strategy at times is both impressive and alarming. That tends to be some quality family time, so definitely leaning towards a Switch for both her and me

Ugh, those LOL things. She wants one, and we'll probably get her one of those $15 sets, but I'm not dropping $80 on some crazy surprise kit that will never see the light of day (like her Fingerlings).

I tried thinking of something for my wife to get me, but really don't want any gifts. Then I randomly came across my childhood RC truck - a Tyco Baja Bandit. If I could find one in good shape for a decent price, I'd probably buy it.

She won the other day. And I was giving about 90% effort.

I have PS3 Move, and we occasionally play Sports Champions (1 and 2) on it, but I try not to do as much gaming stuff as possible. A lot of my nieces and nephews are zombies with their iPhones, iPads, etc. She loves arts and crafts, so I was thinking about moving into the 'my first chemistry set' type of gift.

My son's 5th birthday party was this past weekend and he received multiple Lego sets as gifts. He also had his second ice skating lesson yesterday, and I got to go out on the ice and skate with him during free-skate. This is where being a dad is going to be really fun.
