Ugh....went to the hospital last night at 10pm with strong, frequent contractions (less than two minutes apart), only to find out she hasn't progressed at all and we got sent home at 2AM. Because her water broke at 36.5 weeks with our first we've never experienced this "joy"

Although there was some excitement when I started hearing "GREAT JOB HONEY!" over and over again in the room right next to us, and then the sound of the baby crying. One thing I will say, there's a reason we drive 35 minutes to deliver at Paoli Hospital. Their maternity ward is second to none imo.

Parents who show up at a strangers house for a child’s birthday thinking you’re just gonna drop your kid off and nope out...what planet are you from? You’re staying here with the rest of us, dummies.

Agree. They might even be worse than the dying to make my 5 year old popular parents who invite the entire kindergarten to a birthday party.Parents who show up at a strangers house for a child’s birthday thinking you’re just gonna drop your kid off and nope out...what planet are you from? FYI, We were forced to. If you hand out invitations at school you have to invite the whole Kindergarten class. Not sure what grade that stops at.Agree. Alternatively, we suggested our oldest (3rd grade) have a party with about 8 kids at the rock wall climbing place. She vetoed that because she wanted everybody to come to the party, which meant we were just renting a shelter at the park. It was nice to be able to use the rain as an excuse why nobody came, and not the truth that 9 year olds aren't going to go out of their way to chill at a park.

Yeah, the schools do no favors to parents with that policy. I’d rather they just say “no invites brought to school. Period.” Solves the same problem of nobody feeling left out and spares parents from having to explain to kids why they aren’t having a party for the whole school.FYI, We were forced to. My kid has gone to his daycare 15 times. He has been bitten 3 times and now scratched on the face that drew blood. I’m getting fed up with this place. Am I being unreasonable?

Welp, 13 days of early labor and counting for my wife. She has "progressed" to 3 cm. The contractions have been downright painful for the last week, and they come constantly. Unfortunately, she has to wait for that next level of "oh sht" to really justify going to the hospital. I feel just awful for her...this sucks.

Shadjinx carries into other areas outside sports.Contractions happening. Coming every 10-15 minutes. 2cm dilated.

Please don't suggest that as a cause to my wife. I don't want to get hurt.

Have you coached your first game yet? Herding Cats I tell ya.Coached my second soccer practice last night. Boy...that was brutal. There must have been something in the humid, tropical air yesterday because the kids were just spacing out left and right. I had to be much more stern than I had been previously--thankfully, we seem to have some awesome parents that were all apologetic/telling their kids to stop their sht when they acted up. That hour felt like six hours
I have such a hard time playing bad cop with other people's children, but my 2nd & 3rd graders are having a hard time even keeping their hands to themselves.
What kind of teaching resources are you using?

No way. The first (and last) time my kid was bitten at daycare they made a huge deal of it. I couldn't even see a mark but I had to sign several things about it and the owner apologized about 20 times. Maybe it's an age thing (lil mac is just a young toddler hanging with other infants). My kid has gone to his daycare 15 times. He has been bitten 3 times and now scratched on the face that drew blood.
