Sounds like Dodge car modelsmini-meow is in a classical academy school, so it is more rigorous than a typical school. He is also in kindergarten, so how rigorous can it be, you ask?
Day one of E-learning. His science lesson? The three types of clouds.
Now, ya boy meow is smarter than the average cat, but wtf is this?

Y'all new homeschoolers in North Carolina get ready to enjoy it past the middle of April. The state is getting ready (if they haven't already) that the kids will be out through April 17th.

My 4 year old stuck a peanut up his nose yesterday. Not knowing what to do given the peds weren’t answering and with the whole virus thing, I ended up calling 911.
They basically tried to sell me ambulance service so at that point, we decided to wait to hear back from the doc
Ended up going in today and they determined he most likely swallowed it. But it was surreal going into the office even though it is a Sunday. A severe ghost town feeling to it

Where did you see this? I’m sure we will be, but haven’t seen a date yet. I’m guessing the next day is around end of April.Y'all new homeschoolers in North Carolina get ready to enjoy it past the middle of April. Ah, maybe so. Seems to be a lot going around right now. Our principal hasn’t said anything, but he probably has no idea. The state super said after April 1, but that’s it. Schools in our county are now completely shut down (no staff allowed in at all) for two weeks starting tomorrow.

In SC, they are working on an elaborate technology plan - buses with wifi, more eLearning lessons, live chat sessions, food for low income students, and so on - but they won't announce anything until early April. It's in the works, but not ready yet.
What a shitshow.

I believe that’s what’s happening here too. We were told not to post any “new” work for at least another week, basically while everyone gets their **** together.

I've been working closely with our local elementary school on several levels and they are working incredibly hard to make things work for the students and the teachers.

Yeah, my fiancée is in elementary. They seem to have a more clear plan. They went in Saturday to distribute packets of work to parents who came to pick them up, drive through style. This week she’ll have to make deliveries to the ones who didn’t come get them.
The biggest issue for upper grades seems to be how to beat deliver and evaluate. Then there’s also the concern about meeting the needs of kids with special needs.

My 5th grader's work seems to be tied to their curriculum and standards, but my eighth grader is doing busy work in a few of his classes.
